Did they say that he had changed his stance, or does he just look different when he bats? I don't know if his entire stance changed, but he is now watching the ball with both eyes, before he was only seeing with one eye. NICE start for Hill.
If we can get a top prospect like LaRoche, why not just pay Maddux's entire contract. Shouldn't be that big of a deal, and Hendry was saying how he had plenty of room to go out and make a deal. I just can't imagine getting a guy like LaRoche.
I'd definately try to get another player in the deal, but it is seeming more and more likely that we'll have to pony up more money to Aram after the year is over. I don't think sending him to SoCal for 2 months is going to make it much harder to sign him back up. I really like Santana too.
It was just on SportsCenter that the Angels are talking ot the Cubs about Aramis so it's probably not BS. I'd do the trade, and then try and sign Aramis back in the offseason. It's pretty apparent he's opting out. (He'd be stupid not to)
Controversial statement here.... I wouldn't have gone after Abreu at all. He has 8 home runs in Philly. He's got insane on base skills but he's on the decline.
