    Had the same thing last year, but the Cubs had to play on their 4th day off because of a previous rained out game.

    What happened to Maddux pitching Friday? I seem to recall a blurb on Cubs.com about him starting the second half. Was that changed? Probably because Z didn't pitch in the All Star game. I think Maddux was going on Friday so Z wouldn't have to pitch on 3 days rest.

    Maybe at the deadline last year or even over last offseason, but right now he's just a 2 1/2 month rental. We got Nomar for a AAA, a AAA/MLB reliever and a A level pitcher with injury concerns, and Nomar, while having injury concerns of his own, is way more valuable than Huff. There is no reason to get upset that the Cubs didn't try to trade for Huff. No matter what happens he's going to be a FA at the end of the year... and they Cubs could do a whole lot better than Huff anyways.

    I was going to make a similar post, I can't think of a scenario where a person is going to watch this game for more than a couple of minutes and not know who Rivera is.
