    it would be Bay > Murton and Burnitz isn't a starter anymore, McClouth seems to be the everyday RF and Jones is better at the moment. and Bautista isn't the CF, Duffy is back and looks to be getting the majority of the starts. Pierre is better. .182/.233 .227/.290 That's the AVG/OBP that the Pirates have had in there 1 and 2 spots this series, I don't even think in the depths of cpatt/neifi it was ever that bad.

    With all of these glowing reports coming out from so many key positions, I was just waiting for something like this to happen... hopefully it doesn't snowball like it usually does. :(

    Why would they have a young guy who finally got his bat going again changed positions mid season to a position he's never played? Easy because the guy that has played both positions has a gold glove and more service time. ridiculous. Ronny SS - Iztuirs 2nd base, fixed and everybody knows how to play their position and has experience there. nah lets kill the kids confidence.

    Juan Pierre is better than Chris Duffy. I don't think the guy in right field is tearing it up either.

    or #36. Brad Penny wears #31. I wonder if Brad Penny wouldn't give up the #31 or if Maddux refused it because he is the "new guy". I'm guessing the latter. Greg doesn't seem like the type to ask for a number from someone that has it.... IMO Penny should have had a Maddux jersey with 31 waiting for him in the clubhouse when he got there.

    I don't think he does anymore, at the time of the trade Barrett made less than Izturis makes now..

    For this to happen Hendry has to do what he did with Eyre and Howry. overwhelm him right away, let him know that he's his guy and offer him a big contract. When it gets drawn out and he allows other teams in he loses.

    Is it possible to work out an extension in the next couple of weeks where the buyout/option is negated. If it's possilbe a 2-3 year incentive laden deal would be great.
