    Not well enough. Couldn't have dropped the ball if he tried last year, not so much this year. bad enough to drop to the 4th round or so? :D

    I think it had to do with the questioning over the quality of his FB. I think alot of people thought it topped at 89-91 and that wouldn't cut it in the big leagues. I don't know where that came from though.

    I was just thinking about something after watching the highlight clips on Cubs.com for this game. How about a Geo Soto/Rich Hill partnership for the rest of the year and next if Geo gets the backup job? Hill put up insane numbers at AAA with him and the best start of his major league career was with him so maybe they are a good match or maybe it's a coincidence.

    IF Rich gets the win today he'll pull into 2nd place in Cubs wins (by players still on the team) and third when counting Maddux's wins. What's sadder? that 6 wins will be good for 2nd or 3rd depending on how you look at it, or that all 6 will have come since 7/27?
