    forfeit lineups like this one, often work out for the Cubs somehow. I remember a couple of years back a double header (2004 maybe) when Dusty put out his forfeit squad against Pavano (when he was having a Cy Young type year) and they blew him away, and then the actual competent lineup was shut down by David Weather making an emergency start, a couple weeks after being DFA'd by the Astros for sucking too much.

    As much as I'd like to blame Raisin, it was me forgetting what I read. For some reason instead of top picks I remembered this reading first rounders. Sounds like most of the teams with top picks are waiting for one of the top picks to sign so they can work around those dollar figures.

    I hope someone (Petrick / Marmol) isn't hurt ... It doesn't seem like this is a move that needs to be made because the bullpen has been used up.

    4.5 would have felt real nice, but i'll take staying at 5.5.

    IMO, 6IP 3ER is more impressive in the AL. It still says that the pitcher kept his team in the game, and pitched 2/3 of the game. If a pitcher can do that consistently than they are doing their job.

    Nobody in this thread said they are terrible because they lost a game. Terrible against left handed pitching, yes, but not as a whole.

    I'm not sure if this is true, but maybe he wouldn't be able to partake in any of the All Star Game festivities if he was currently under suspension. Not sure if that is important to him.

    the Cubs have inherited some sort of LSU voodoo this season, nice contributions from Theriot and Fontenot and Youman holds the Brewers in check. I really start to think something is going on if Youman gets shelled on Sunday :o

    Last I knew, I think the Braves signed him. and I think they released him. The Pirates traded him to the Yankees (I think) last deadline.

    Braun has been struggling lately on D, is he supposed to be a good defensive 3rd baseman or no? His defense has been the main concern with him, I think I heard that is the main reason (besides starting his service time) he didn't start the season with the big league team.
