    Sorry, but that's a losers mentality. I want this team to earn it dow the stretch, not rely on the Brewers fading. Umm, if the Cubs win and the Brewers win, that's still 1 game down. I'm not saying the Cubs should lose out and hope the Brewers do to. I'm just saying all is well as long as the magic number goes down either way. Cubs wins are obviously ideal.

    Magic number still goes down 1. Just need to keep doing that everyday and all will be well.

    Probably not. 4.5 after today. I'm dismayed. After today, if the Cubs go 12-13 to end the season, the Brewers will need to go 17-9 to tie us, 18-8 to win the Central. If the Cubs go 15-10 to finish the season, it changes to 20-6 and 21-5 stop with the optimism, it's scary from you. ;)

    i think the canceled checks, and the shipping receipts to Eric Gagne care of the Dodgers, is enough to say he's wasn't clean.
