Ugh, wasn't able to fully enjoy that ending because my aunt who is a Packers fan for some unknown reason was screaming for the Packers pre game to be put on, how Cutler is a wimp, and that the game was over at 40 secs left because they didn't have the ball. But still awesome.

If we're going to suck next year, don't start the service time clock on guys who can still benefit from time in the minors. Exactly. Why break camp with Brett Jackson when we can get another year of service time out of him? Oh no we need another bullpen arm, let's see McNutt had a good spring let's break camp with him in the bullpen. Johnson and Corpas are both under 2 million, if there is someone in the minor leagues that makes sense those guys will be axed. This team is reported ready to eat millions of dollars over the next 3 years on Soriano, cutting these guys in June to make way for young guys won't be a problem.

Maybe I'm wrong, but this move sure looks like the kind of move that many here would look at and say "I wish the Cubs made these kind of moves" in a pre-Theo world.

But why would there be? At this point, probably a handful of Cubs employees, A couple of people at MLB, and maybe not even the Japanese team yet know what the Cubs bid was. Perhaps nobody is talking the Cubs, because the Cubs aren't talking to them. Personally I don't think the Cubs won, but that isn't because no random reporters are talking about them. -

That's all kinds of goofy. So a Canadian broadcast conglomerate is dictating the Jays' baseball operations? Maybe next they'll ask Jose Bautista to manage their 4G rollout. They also own the team. -
Yeah I was feeling nostalgic for 2008 the other day and bought the Rockies comeback and the Jim Edmonds 9th inning game tieing ATTA BOY JIMMY WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE game on iTunes a couple of weeks back.

Really wouldn't want part of that 3rd year... The Cubs picked up his option, he didn't and said he was moving on... what more could Theo have done? Any extension that Theo could have felt comfortable offering Aramis before Aramis said he was moving on would not have got it down. I'm guessing Aramis anticipated a bigger market for himself.

haha, really? I'd imagine cameras were already on TIM TEBOW like they are on ALL QB's during a game winning (or losing) kick. Watch him walking off after the game. He stops and points to the sky several times. Like Z after every inning? Or Devin Hester before every return.

Because I don't watch college football, and really don't pay attention to teams that aren't playing the Bears this was my first Tebow game. I get that he sucks at QB 75%+ of the time and he I guess he is supposedly in your face about his religion.... I don't get all the hate. Tons of athletes do religious stuff. This game sucked.
