getting pumped for baseball, so I checked the spring training schedule... had no idea MLBN was broadcasting so many games. Between all channels there's going to be a Cubs game on tv almost every day starting March 10th.

Neifi Perez had a great extra innings game winning home run in St. Louis, and there was the month or so that he hit like .500. I can't think of a single highlight of Juan Pierre. I think he may have hit a triple in his first at bat on opening day that's about it.

Not that I care about the whole thing or think it matters in the end, but I don't think saying that your team won big in the controversial game and then barely won in the game where your guys didn't touch the balls helps your case.

And 2013 Rizzo was at ~%20 and 2014 ~%19, so I guess my optimism is if they can make similar strides (a tall task, I know) wouldn't that put Baez at the %30 range which isn't great but should be ok as a 2B in the bottom of the order. -

This may have already come up since I definitely haven't really paid a ton of attention to the Javy doom and gloom, but going by just eyeballing the stats isn't Javy's major league career so far very similar to Rizzo's awful initial call up in San Diego? I'm sure there's numbers to disprove that optimism, but just looking at their baseball reference lines they look pretty close. -
every player in the Cubs system that can play 3rd or LF (besides Bryant) could forget how to play baseball and he's still not on the opening day roster.
