I'm assuming the gist of Theo's position in the meeting will be as my plan has been all along I'm out at 10 years, with they way everything is right now (roster construction with so many contracts also coming up after next year, and the general economics of the game being in limbo, etc.) if the Cubs want someone running things that will be around past next season I'm ok to step aside whenever you want that to be. Assuming that assumption is correct, I'd say Jed gets bumped to Theo's spot with Theo hanging around at least awhile in an 'advisory' role and they hire a new GM this offseason. Or everything stays the same and Jed bumps up next year or is fired.
