    Am I the only one that doesn't see the big deal here? (re: not kicking at Soldier field during the week) It feels like a "ALL PLAYERS SHOULD PRACTICE BUNTING EVERY DAY!!" thing to me. Before yesterday I never even considered that a kicker would go to his home stadium during the week to kick.

    No, and by all accounts his job is not in jeopardy as Nagy said they would not be bringing in other kickers. I'm fine with it. It's not like he was shanking balls, he actually hit the upright, which is amazing. In all honesty, I think hitting the post should count extra.     I like how the article says the Royals are not in win now mode and rebuilding so he doesn't fit into their plans, while every player from the Cubs he suggested will make the same or more money and is closer or the same amount away from free agency.

    yeah I don't think it's a great loss, but just weird timing.

    They're still in the Eastern conference, it's not ridiculous to think they make the playoffs this year yet. Especially when you consider they've gotten like 5 games out of 4 guys that are starters or heavy rotation players. The better discussion would be furthest from a championship team since the playoff structures are so different. Bulls are closer to making the playoffs, but I'd say the White Sox are closer to a championship just by the way the current NBA and MLB are.

    Maybe I'm sticking my head in the sand, but I don't buy it. Picking up a 20 million dollar option on the 5th starter position after preaching fixing offense in the season wrap up press conference is not the move of team that has a money problem.
