I wonder what got into Dusty. He posted a decent lineup for a change. I'd make 5/6/7 Barrett/Murton/Jones myself, but after some of the godawful Dusty lineups I've seen, I'm impressed. Has he actually found some common sense, or is that Jim's influence?

Were you at that game Fred? :lol: No, but I saw the whole thing on good ol' WGN-TV. your letting on your age now..... My kids tell me I'm 3 days older than dirt..... but we all know how they lie !! I guess that explains the layer of dirt covering most of your body...the dirt must have formed around you. Maybe there's even a fossil of you somewhere? That time he fell down in that puddle of tree sap after running away from a dinosaur has to be around somewhere. ;)

I'm just happy that a young player is starting and in the lineup. yes, but i'd be willing to bet that Murton will have the highest OBP of anyone not named Lee, yet Dusty will continue to bat him lower than Jones, who will suck True. But Dusty's willingness to 1) Start Walker and hit him 2nd, 2) not wedge Jones in between Lee and Ramirez, and 3) start Murton has actually led me to give him the benefit of the doubt. For now.

That's exactly how I feel. I just knew the Cubs were going to lose Game 7. Game 6 was the crushing blow. They had their chance and we blew it. Josh Beckett never gave the Cubs a chance in Game 5. They had Game 6 and it all unraveled. Game 6 was as close I have ever come to crying after a game. I barely watched game 7 for that reason. I flipped back and forth and kept up with the score, and I was on the ESPN board at the time, but I didn't watch much of the game. I didn't want to hurt anymore.
