  1. Cards will score at LEAST 4 more runs this inning.
  2. Miller and Pie down and Guzman up tomorrow morning?
  3. Miller sucks and Edmonds takes it in the butt. That is all.
  4. I love Hill, but I'm not putting the "beast" label on him yet until he proves he can stay dominant through the 2nd and 3rd time around the league.
  5. Yikes. I see a 20-19 game. Depends on how hard it's blowing out. I was almost dissapointed in 2003 or 2004 when the Cubs and Cards were in Wrigley and the wind was blowing out like 35 mph. It got rained out with the Cards winning 12-9 after 4 innings. I think Clement started that game.
  6. Cedeno is playing after that nonsense yesterday? God. Maybe Lou wants to show Cedeno he has faith in him? Beats me.
  7. I like it today because I had to go cover some little kids playing baseball earlier. Just got back in now in time to catch the game. I have to be into work at 3, so I'll miss the whole game. Probably for the best, as they'll most likely lose again anyway.
  8. 3-2 call on jones, he walked. Cedeno was off running, slid slightly PAST the base. Eck made a big deal about it, and because eck was able to slightly push C's foot off the bag as he was PAST the base. Big C was called out. C is doing very poorly but the more I think about it the more we've gotta get back at them by winning. None of it would have happened, though, if Jones hadn't swung at an awful 3-1 pitch.
  9. This team has to get on a hot streak NOW before the losing gets too much worse or we'll still be digging ourselves out in July. Today certainly won't help. Lou has to get them motivated and put the dumbass play by Cedeno behind them. I don't know what he has to do. Benchings? Maybe. Finings for stupid mental mistakes? Most definately. But he needs to do something and he needs to turn this around NOW. I won't buy the "It's only April" argument. These games are just as important as the ones in September. And if you fall too far back in April, you spend most of the rest of the year playing catch-up.
  10. I think I'd throw crap on the field here, too. I'm back to work. Looks like just in time, too. Just when you think you've seen them lose every way possible, they find another way. Yeah guys, boo. Line up and boo the team bus all the way back to the hotel.
  11. Cedeno apparently overslid the bag and Eckstein kept the glove on him, apparently. This only happens to the Cubs. Now watch this guy hit a double and Jacques stops at 3rd. This only happens to the Cubs.
  12. WHAT THE F*CK?????? IT WAS [expletive] BALL FOUR!!!
  13. Pat saying the Cards are arguing Cedeno overslid the bag.
  14. Hey! He didn't swing at ball five! Walk for Jones.
  15. WTG Jacques. Swing at ball four. Schmuck
  16. Alright! We've got it in the bag, now! Jacques "Mickey Mantle" Jones is up!
  17. Yay! The Cardinals pulled a Cubs that inning!
  18. It'll take him until July to pound all the Dusty out of this team.
  19. He swings like some of the girls in my gym class would when they just wanted to hurry up and strike out so they could go back and gossip.
  20. Wanna bet Hill get's it done? Hill may be awesome, but the Cubs would still find a way to lose once he was out of the game. Or they wouldn't score enough runs for him.
  21. The Cubs ought to be outlawed by the Geneva convention.
  22. No grit, heart or scrap either. I think I'm going to go back to one of my old sigs here one of these days... "There is a fine line between optimism and stupidity"
  23. probably about to demand a trade That would be the smartest career move ever. I'd drive him to the airport and shake his hand for being such a wise man.
