  1. I can't. I feel the same way. (Tucks knees into chin and rocks in the corner)
  2. Against Ramirez? Dude can fly. Bloop single for Ramirez, run scores, 1-0 Marlins. Here we go.
  3. Bloop single for Willis. Bags loaded, 1 out. Here we go.
  4. Carroll singles, 1st and 2nd, Willis up. He'll probably bunt.
  5. Come on, guys, you know how to hit lefties. This is the fourth one in a row you've faced. When was the last time the Cubs faced 4 lefties in a row? O/T, but where has Fred been lately?
  6. Murt flies to RF, Hermeda sliding to make the catch.
  7. Yeah, they really need to get out of Miami.
  8. Piniella out to the mound. Kind of odd. Ron thinks he's ordering the IBB, but don't they have a sign for that?
  9. Hanley flies out. One down One of those rare trades that helped both teams.
  10. They probably got greedy. With three blowouts against the Pirates, they're probably chomping at the bit to put all those runs on the board again. This is where Lou and Gerald Perry need to step up.
  11. The most excited I've ever been as a Cubs fan. I'm definitely down for some recreation on their part. That was the one time in my life I really let my guard down with them. I thought for sure after that game we were going to the World Series. I thought for sure in 1984 we were going to the World Series. That scared me as a Cubs fan forever. I knew in 2003 after game 5 we were in trouble. We looked flat in that game. After the game I went on espn.com message board and told everyone that we are going to blow this. I just felt it. Of course everyone laughed at me... I was on ESPN at the same time and was telling people to quit projecting possible World Series rotation matchups, as we hadn't won anything yet.
  12. So if the Phils win the WC and Arizona stays #1 we'd open against the Mets, right? Assuming we don't choke. I think I'd take my chances against the Mets rather than Arizona, who always plays us tough.
  13. Not too soon!!! It would be great not having to face Griffey or Dunn that last series. Yes. I have nothing personal against Adam Dunn, but I would like to see the Reds shut him down for the rest of the year, with him turning out to be just fine.
  14. I think if we gave him $20 million and part ownership of the team he'd bite. Steinbrenner won't give him part of the Yankees. It's not happening. It can't. No point in even mentioning it anymore. Irresponsible journalism by whoever reported it. Yeah, I didn't read ahead in the thread. My bad.
  15. Why would ARod choose Chicago over New York? 1. Can return to SS 2. Gets to play for Lou once again 3. Will play for a contender 4. Gets to trade NY fans for Chicago fans 5. Will still get paid nicely I think the guy has legitimate reasons to come play for the Cubs. Believe it or not money may not be the most important thing in this guys life right now. I think if I've made boat loads of cash and am currently in a situation that is less than fun for me I'm looking for something better even if it does involve less money. If he put up 50+ homers and 130+ RBI for the Cubs next year, Cub fans would elect the guy mayor and name a street after him. He'd be king of the city. I can guarantee he wouldn't get booed unless he started April and May hitting less than .200 and threw a fit about it in the papers.
