The sad thing is, he once was a really patient and selective hitter in the minors. Dusty was actually quoted in ST about how he had to be more aggressive too. The only way this would be better would be if it happened to a team I truly hated. The Reds were always so blah, I mean who cares that he's ruining their franchise? Sure they're in our division, but it woulda been cooler if it was some team whose demise I could really revel in. I actually felt sorry for the Reds when they hired Dusty. I never held any ill will toward them.
Boys, this is how life is supposed to be: A day off of work, day baseball at Wrigley, the game on WGN, beautiful weather.... the only thing that could make this better is a Cubs win. I am certainly loving life right now.
Hopefully Piniella doesn't try to push Z beyond 7. Dusty would have. Didn't Z throw like 115 pitches in Pittsburgh in April one year in Pittsburgh with a huge lead?
Why are the Reds on their 3rd pitcher already? Whatever happened to Lincoln? Do they even have a long man? Dusty's pen is going to be shot if they dont.
Brennamen and Brantley are horrible. Brant is such a whiner. I don't think Thom is all that bad I liked him in the middle innings with Steve Stone all those years ago.
