  1. Greater than a Pie inside the park homerun where Braun trips over a black cat in the outfield and breaks his legs? I would much rather have someone like Ward or Zambrano hit the inside the parker. I'd want woody to do it, it'd be my dream come true... Strange dream. I had a dream where I was eating a giant marshmallow, and when I woke up my pillow was GONE!
  2. I'm enjoying the hell out of this team right now. It's one hell of a lot of fun to watch/listen to the games. But damn them for making me not enjoy it as much as I could because they're the Cubs, and when the other shoe falls, it's going to fall hard.
  3. Nope, it ends tonight. Why such negativity? I'm one of the biggest pessimists around, and I feel very good about our upcoming stretch of games. Going to Washington I'm ok with, but if we had to go to Montreal, I'd be right along with everyone else saying that we're done. I don't know what it was about that place. I think your sarcasm detector may be on the fritz. but I, too, have a bad feeling about this game. Well, I did spill kool-aid in it.

  5. At least he's heating up. If Soriano starts hitting when he comes back, this lineup is deadly.
  6. At least neither of them will be behind the plate during this series. Thank God for that. Wasn't Angel Hernandez behind the plate for one of the Mets games? I always think of him when I think of that Cubs/Rockies game in August of 2001.
  7. It will continue until MLB umpires are held accountable for their calls on the field. Not the worst call ever, though. That would probably be the call at 1st base in the 1985 World Series with Dane Iorg. I thought it was Jorge Orta. You could be right. I'm not entirely sure.

  9. That's right, Ronny. Damn you for having goals. I didn't mean it that way.
  10. I love how everyone was clamoring for Murton over EPatt, and he's been up for less than a week and everyone thinks he sucks.
  11. This. Fuku Lee Aram Soriano Soto should be 2-6
  12. I've wanted Fukudome-DeRosa for quite a while now. Speaking of DeRosa singles to make it 4-1. It just doesn't seem like he hits enough homers to bat 5th. I'm not at all complaining about that spot, but maybe Soto could move to the 5 hole?
  13. It's April, Ronny. You've got a LONG way to go.
  14. radar isn't looking too nice. I work till 3. Maybe a rain delay until then? Please?
  15. No. It's NSBB. I'm loving this team at the moment. I'll take a 12-6 stretch anytime! Although we're only .500 against non-Pittsburgh teams. :(
  16. Does anyone else have this little nagging fear that the Cubs are going to remember that they're the Cubs one of these days?
