If they don't like the pessimism, they shouldn't read the game thread. End of story. There is no reason whatsoever to think that the Cubs will win this series. If you honestly think that after this the Cubs are going to play another game in Wrigley Field this year, you've never been more wrong in your entire life.

You expected anything else from the chokingist franchise in the history of American sports? 1999, 1984, 1989, 2003, 2004, 2007, 2008. Go to hell, Cubs. Go to hell and die. Settle down, the game's not over. Yeah, I know, the Cubs aren't going to win, but blind optimism is needed here. :( This game is over. Over over over. Last game in Wrigley until April. The Cubs won't even tie it tonight. I guarantee it.

They'll never win a World Series in my lifetime. This is the best chance they had, but they just cannot win the big game. If the Cubs made the playoffs and the other 3 NL teams were St. Mary's Elderly Nun Hospice, The School for Blind Amputees, and a team of spastic, asthmatic little leaguers, I still wouldn't bet on the Cubs in October.
