  1. If this game decided the future of Eberflus, I'd take the blowout.
  2. I won't miss Jackson.
  3. They need 2 interior lineman. Draft one and sign one. The run blocking has been atrocious.
  4. I have very limited confidence in Fields tomorrow. GB 20-10.
  5. I hope Fields can show some success against zone coverage. It's amazing how good he is against man coverage and just as amazing how bad he is against zone.
  6. I believe that was in terms of not sitting starters rather than in terms of playing GB compared to anyone else.
  7. It might be odd but I'd hire Roman as OC (I'd hire Mike MacDonald as HC) draft Daniels at (4), keep Fields for one year to sit Daniels, draft Coleman/Odunze (WR) at 10, Mims at LT at 17, Kitchens S at 37.
  8. If Arizona wanted to give up (4, 17, 36, and 63) for (1,1) which is close in equivalency, I would have a tough time turning that down.
  9. Scott like everyone else not named Moore has been a disappointment from the WR group.
  10. And their teams are doing much worse, which leads to the importance of the QB position.
  11. This is still the exception rather than the norm. You mention Mahomes as a failure this year....
  12. With Daniels you're going to see mechanical issues in a standard drop back. Not as fluid going through the progressions as Williams and especially Maye. Doesn't have the same accuracy as those two given the inconsistent mechanics. I can see an argument between Williams and Maye but I can't between Williams and Daniels.
  13. I'm in the Williams 1A camp and then a dropoff to Maye and a larger dropoff to Daniels, slight drop to Penix and another big drop to Nix. There's enough there with Williams not to be afraid to make the pick.
  14. Winning without a good to great QB is an outlier rather than the norm. We seen that in 06 with the best defense and ST in the NFL and still watched Indy and the better QB win the SB.
  15. I can't imagine too many scenarios where an up and coming OC or potential HC would want to become a part of Eberflus staff only to possibly/probably be fired next off-season.
  16. Was that throw to Mooney deflected or dropped? It looked dropped but not sure.
  17. This AZ team is trash. However, the Bears have a lead. I'm curious to see how Getsy calls the rest of this game.
  18. I wouldn't allocate picks for any of the potential coaches. I just wish I had a better understanding of the dropoff of Williams/Maye and Daniels/Penix. I'm all for trading out of 1 (1) again if the haul is similar to 23'.
  19. Would you make a similar trade with Atlanta but instead of Moore, you trade for Bates (FS)? 24:(1) (1) For 24 (1) (10) 25: (1) Jeremy Bates (FS)
  20. They're not, which is why it's further down the list.
  21. Agreed. If one of the top 2 QBs and one of the top 2 WRs are available, I would hope that is the path. Does anyone think that Jones would be a reasonable option at 3T? He's the best FA on the market on a team that probably won't make an offer. If there's cap space (assuming Johnson is tagged), it would likely turn a good defense, great. In order of need: QB WR Interior OL 3T FS assuming Jackson is cut. DE HB TE CB LB SS Punter and returner are also of need.
  22. Any thoughts on Jerrod Johnson (current QB coach for Houston and former QB for Cousins) as a possible future OC?
  23. Davis makes no sense financially to cut before the end of next year where the hit to the cap is much smaller. It sounds bad but given his personal situation, early retirement might be a possibility or not starting next year like Whitehair this year, might also lead to early retirement. As far as Jones, he is an avg at best tackle. On a good Line, he is a good swing/3rd tackle. Unfortunately, the Bears don't have a good line and have greater holes on the interior as well as greater holes at WR which would minimize the improvement of having to draft a LT in the top 10 compared to WR.
  24. Give me a combo of Williams/Maye and Harrison/Nabers with a new staff.
