That's a pretty small sample size. When I made my comment, I should have made it clearer that I think Kendall will eventually regress while he's blocking a promising player. Contreras would 1) suck, 2) cost a lot of money, 3) block one of our more promising young starters.

Not sure. They said we'd receive an email letting us know if we did. I know the voting begins on Aug 6, so I'm guessing some time before then. Probably one of the safest guesses one can have. :D I went back and read on Cubs.com, and it appears I should know something on August 2. I'm guessing you didn't make it since there has been no update. I'll take "Hilariously Wrong" for $2000, Alex. -
This thinking is what led us to the Kendall trade, and look how that's turned out so far.

Actually, you're right. This season he has an ERA of 5.45 in non-save situations and an ERA of 3.93 in save situations. While ERA is a limited stat and keeping in mind the small sample sizes, he's clearly better in save situations.
