all the fastballs were 91-92 according to gameday that inning. Threw a few changeups at 84 and a curveball at 75. Jed is already on the phone trying to flip him to Toronto.

If there was a stat on most times hit by a pitch on a swing and miss Rizzo would be leading the league. The best part is he doesn't even flinch when the ball hits him.

What's that stupid [expletive] saying? (think of it in the overly dramatic Thom voice..) "So for all the talk of the plan that Theo Epstein has had in place since coming over from Boston it all is in the hands of these four very young players..." Supposedly all our hopes are on these four guys of which one is in A ball and one is in Rookie ball and only two of the four are even having good years in the minors.

Maybe Castro but the two other guys were brought here as part of the rebuilding plan so I don't really see why they would be upset. To me it would be more Edwin Jackson and Barney if anyone. I think everyone knows what is going on and a good portion of the clubhouse is fine with it because they may not even be on a major league roster if the Cubs were actually acting like a major market team right now.

In honor of Shark the offense provided their normal run support for him as if he was still on the team and starting as planned.

After seeing Villanueva and Rusin today I would say let's go with Wada and Beeler in the rotation.

I think it will be Straily and Wada with Beeler getting the DH start again. Don't see a big reason to add Hendricks to the 40 man immediately.

As long as you put on 30 SPF sunscreen every 2 hours, wear a hat and sunglasses and stay in shade between 10am - 3pm you are good to go.

Maybe so but he is being disengenious because if the Cubs had been willing to pay him he would have stayed and be saying how he wants to be part of the excitement when things finally turn around. He is full of crap and just likes to hear himself talk. And it makes him feel better about himself to talk [expletive] about the Cubs and tell Shark to leave because he is jilted they wouldn't give him the money he wanted and valued prospects more than him.

Conext; every team who wasn't the Astros and the Cubs looked like a winner before this season and the last. If the front office had given him the money he wanted on a contract extension he would still be here. He is full of crap and this is just stuff he says now that he is gone to make himself feel better.

Good job crapping the bed when you got a chance to play for a winner last year, Matt. Probably why you had to sign with the Brewers which would hardly be the first choice for someone that just wanted win. Funny how the ARam narative has changed as well since I kind of recall him being offended at the time when the Cubs did not make an effort to resign him. But best of luck to both of these guys now that they are playing with those "winners" the Brewers who will be lucky to finish third in the Central.

I love hockey and am a season ticket holder for the Lightning but the random way that penalties are called is a huge negative to the game as a whole. A guy can do an obvious slash and no call but the next time down the ice someone barely taps a player and it is a penalty. You also get rewarded late in the game if you commit a bunch of penalties early because officials inexplicably feel the need to keep penalties close to even over the course of the game. -
