  1. "Nolasco has given up 12 runs in his last 7 IP"- Ron Potesta
  2. Sing is 3-3 with a pair of HRs against the Biscuits in an early offensive showcase, Jaxx up 7-5 to the bottom of the 5th
  3. Sources are telling me that it is very likely that Nomar Garciaparra will be making a rehab assignment with the Peoria Chiefs on Tuesday through Thursday of next week. It is my understanding that Nomar went 1-4 today and will make another start in Mesa on Sunday. If everything goes according to plan on Sunday, Nomar will join Peoria for three games beginning Tuesday, July 26. An official decision will be made Sunday night, but it is as high as "95%" probable that Nomar will be in Peoria next week if everything goes according to plan.
  4. Welcome to the Forum! Agreed, welcome!

  6. Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner! I would amend that to an extent. If Bruce posted a rumor I would trust it. Good point. Of course it could be argued that you would be trusting Bruce in that event, not the rumor... ;) Point taken. I wonder if people would trust any rumors I posted. After all, DJAXX does have Media Credential. (Nobody has to answer that)

  8. I thought it would be appropriate to post one of my favorite pictures: "The Ribbee Blitz" http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v472/DJAXXFAN/23b3e6e8.jpg
  9. Ribbee, first off I want to thank you for taking the time to answer our questions and receive our comments. I also want to commend you for the great job you are doing in regards to giving back to the community. As a former west Tennessee resident I am fully aware of your community involvement in regards to public appearances as well as your reading program. I have the luxury of being able to attend Jaxx games and watch you in action. I have seen you do some hilarious things, whether it be walking through sections on the seat backs or doing wheelies on a 4-wheeler on the warning track. There have been several mascots at "The Big Chip" from the big baseball to the Pringles can to Gem Dandy. You are not only the best mascot that the Jaxx have had, but I honestly believe that you are one of the best mascots in all of sports! I wanted to ask what you believe is the funniest thing that you have ever intentionally done. In addition, I wanted to ask what you have done on accident that everyone thought was hilarious. Thanks and keep up the great work!
  10. Yet another fun Jaxx fact: Ribbee > Big Mo
  11. I'm not sure if this is what you are referring to, but here's the split thread from when Bruce had an impromptu discussion on July 8
  12. More fun Jaxx facts (Feel free to use them, Ron) The Jaxx are 25-10 this season in games following losses. The Jaxx have have lost back-to-back games 10 times this season.
  13. Who??? :-) Bruback didn't hang around very long. We dropped him from the 40 man roster and he was claimed - I forget who claimed him. Sadler is in AAA right now. He looks like he'll be a backup outfielder if he makes it. I have Sadler's old Jaxx jersey. He was a fun player to watch to say the absolute least.
  14. But hey, you guys got Matt Bruback and Ray Sadler from us as well! *ducks*
  15. Bruce gets post of the day.
  16. Diamond Jaxx stat of the day: The Jaxx are 3-0 vs the Biscuits this season. The Jaxx and Biscuits last met on April 25-27 in Jackson. The Jaxx won each game 6-2, 5-3, and 7-2, with Hill, Pignatiello and Valdez as the winning pitchers. The series against the Biscuits was a part of a dominant stretch by the Jaxx. Starting on April 24th against Huntsville (Jaxx winning 2-1), the Jaxx would go 11-1 with their loss (April 30th) at Mississippi being a 2-1 final. FWIW the Jaxx would go 15-2 over the course of April 24-May 11 (21-4 over April 16-May 11), outscoring their opponents 86-40. The Jaxx would go from 2.5 games back in the division (second place) to 1.5 games ahead in the division.
  17. Recap from Bo on the Daytona game:
  18. The shutout was only the third time the Jaxx have been victims of the shutout. In regards to the interview with Rich Hill it didn't happen. When I talked with the folks in Iowa earlier in the day they told me that things have been busy with CPatt there. With that being said, our scheduled sessions were pushed back, which I completely understand. Our sessions will take place as soon as possible.
