  1. Wasn't able to make it to the park today unfortunately. I know for a fact that I'll be there tomorrow unless something happens. Ron giving love for the fans around the world? That's great!
  2. 1) Congratulations 2) That is hilarious!
  3. Next Friday night I will be Ron Potesta's sidekick in the broadcast booth for the Jaxx game. Tips? Advice? What to do? What not to do?
  4. Quick reminder that now is the time to turn in your questions to Dopirak! Ron said that Aaron Sisk's HR went around 400 ft (at least). To clear the clubhouse takes a shot. I wasn't at the park but I know that the weather we had here was similar to the conditions in Jackson, conditions that do not favor the hitters. Brandon Sing also hit a ball to deep center that would've left under different conditions.
  5. Ron had some comments about the NSBB Broadcast during the Jaxx game tonight! Here is the link to listen to some of the comments. Thanks, Jon! http://www.jonmdavis.net/ronstatingthefacts.mp3
  6. Ron with some love! Ron had some funny comments about the broadcast next Friday night. I better learn how to do PBP in a hurry!
  7. Yeah it can be strange, especially toward the end of games if you get too excited and look through the window to the rest of the place and see other people rooting against you! Really it all depends on how friendly and welcoming the front office staffs of the other teams are. Im in my third year so I have made some "friends" around the league and there are some places (Wisconsin, Kane County, Dayton, Clinton surprisingly) where I look forward to going because I know the beat writer or the scoredboard guy or a front office worker or the official scorer and have nice chats and a after-game beer, etc. But there are times where you feel like a place is out to get you or the official scorer is screwing your players or making unfair rulings. But really I am just spoiled at home and like to be able to have high speed internet and a refrigerator at my disposal and an intern to work hard for me, but that is just me being spoiled! I would think that it is tough at times being the visiting broadcaster but I guess you get used to it. At the same time it can probably be pretty amusing when you're screaming in excitement when Peoria does something good or going off when Peoria is ripped off. Thanks for hte response!
  8. I believe he K'd 4 of the last 6 he faced. His PC will get him out of the game early. He's around 110 pitches.
  9. Tell Ron you want to job shadow him!
  10. I've missed Aunt Florence, glad she's back. Watch out NSBB, Ron has a Rodney Dangerfield impersonation to go along with Harry Caray
  11. SISK GOES YARD OVER THE CLUBHOUSE!!!!!!!!!! "Watch out Interstate 40!" 3-0 Jaxx!
  12. Pinto draws a walk, goes to second on the WP and scores on a hit from "The Riot", 1-0 Jaxx!
  13. They're to the 3rd in Jackson, 0-0 game
  14. Do you ever feel strange when you're calling games on the road, especially if you're in a room with people that you know are pulling for the home team? I would think that being the visiting broadcaster could have some awkward moments.
  15. The Jaxx game may have to work around some rain. We're getting hit with some hard storms and the chance of scattered storms is 40-50% for Jackson. Granted, that also means there's a 50-60% chance that nothing will happen!
  16. Quick reminder that today is the last day to turn in your questions and comments to Brian Dopirak of the Daytona Cubs. The interview will be conducted Thursday afternoon. Thanks for your help and support!
  17. <-------------------------would appreciate a win from the Cubs
