  2. Not the first time Delmon has tossed a bat in a game. Here's a report from April, 2005: Link
  3. It's also important to note that the bat was already going for the umpire as he turned around.
  4. I didn't expect it to be coming that hard. It's no wonder the crowd reacted in that way. FWIW this isn't the first time Delmon has got in trouble for contact with an umpire.
  5. This is going to be pretty sweet to say the least! Hopefully we can figure out a way to get the video loaded for everyone to see!
  6. It's not video, but listened to the crowd when the ump gets hit.
  7. For the record, Durham is linked up to the new Minor League Baseball Multimedia. This page has links to the broadcasts of what happened.
  8. Still no video? I didn't have the credential to have an opportunity to interview Delmon in 2005, but it's a toss up when you ask guys about him. A popular line I recall reading was that his attitude is already ready for the Major Leagues. It'll be interesting to see how this is handled.
  9.
  10. You can't assume everything would have stayed the same. Nevertheless, a terrible decision. Why did he pull him? Anyone know? To quote Tim: "I'm not sure Dusty realizes he can pull the pitcher and not do a double switch."
  11. Why is Eyre warming after a double switch?
  12. Dusty said on cubs.com that he does the double-switch due to things not in this game. Not sure what he was seeing today.
  13. He's looking down the road, even with the off day tomorrow.
