  1. I'm a fan of Peyton Manning.
  2. Harrison: We knew that we could get to this point and have brrn growing in maturity each year. It took a team effort to get here. We have been taking what the defenses have given us.
  3. Peyton started preparing for the Bears the day after the NE game. Now to Marvin Harrison
  4. ha ha, oops. Apparently Peyton just got asked about the Gators. I could've sworn that a guy asked if it was the ultimate revenge game since the Bears have players from Florida. Manning just mumbled "nah" and looked for another question. HA HA
  5. I think it will happen but probably later in the session. I wonder how long the NFL Network will keep the camera on Manning before going to another podium.
  6. Peyton pulled for the Saints all year long. Peyton doesn't understand the fuss over arriving Monday. He said that it was announced immediately following the game against NE that they would leave on Monday for Miami.
  7. Hahahaha. Stupid media. ha ha, I thought it was great. Manning is at the podium
  8. Manning refused to speak to the media last night. This will be his first time answering questions in SB week. Peyton is all smiles.
  9. Most all of the players have a video camera.
  10. The media is not happy. "We couldn't get the Bears to leave the field and we can't get the Colts out here." "Part of management is filling your obligations to the media" The Colts have arrived
  11. The NFL Network is pointing out that Marvin Harrison doesn't enjoy talking to the media. They think it will be interesting since he has to answer questions for one hour. If the media had a problem with the Colts getting there last night they will love this announcement: Media Day with the Colts has been delayed until 11:15 CT. ha ha
  12. Colts are yet to take the field. Manning will be at Podium 4.
  13. My mom, who is a pretty avid Bears fan, has to work on Sunday (as do a few of her fellow Bear-fan co-workers [lot of NU grads at her office]). That sucks. Ouch. I'm taping Media Day with the Colts. I'll try to post some quotes in between taking care of little ma'am. For the record, my 7 month old daughter is wearing a "Got Peyton?" outfit with a Colts logo on the back. ha ha
  14. You can not have Manning sitting back there and looking at 3 options. I'm sure Lovie is thinking of a way to disrupt this and I can't wait to see what it is. Mora "PlAYoFFs, RU KiddING Me!?!?!?!" says that the matchup between Urlacher will not be what everyone expects. He thinks it will be more of a psychological matchup due to the fact that Urlacher is going to have to watch Dallas Clark to keep the safeties from getting split.
  15. Very welcome. They showed a clip of the session with Lovie and it was great. He had a lot of reflections on his family and his college coaching days. Colts take their podiums in 8 minutes
  16. Urlacher also reiterated that the Bears have got to put pressure on Manning.
  17. Urlacher: We have to stay grounded. The game starts at 6:30 and there's a lot of time to spend after getting here.
  18. The commentators keep talking about how there wasn't a goofy attitude or anyone wearing Superman shirts. A couple of other tidbits: Briggs was asked if he or any of the guys on the team had met girls on myspace. Grossman was asked what they put on his lip for the "Got Milk?" ad.
  19. "Rex! Rex! Joe from the Boston Globe. Why do you suck?" "Jim here from the Tampa Herald. Can you elaborate a little more about how you suck?" "Joe, San Francisco Chronical. Rex, can you tell us when and how much you will suck this Sunday?" "Frank - Dallas Morning News. Rex, you talked about going out to dinner with your wife last night. How has your sucking effected her?" I must've missed that part. Apparently two people that got ripped this year on American Idol are there covering Media Day. Warren Sapp is there as a correspondent as well. Here's a gem from Warren: "The great Reggie White once told me that I would rather have not shown up for the Super Bowl than to show up and lose"
  20. Devin Hester isn't concerned about the fact that the media has put more attention on Manning-Grossman than the importance of starting field position in the SB.
  21. Rex Grossman said he's excited about being there and it became very real to him when he got to the stadium and saw the Bears and Colts painted in the endzones.
  22. I love being off on Media Day. :D
  23. No references to Media Day with the Bears? Colts up next for Media Day. Tank Johnson received more attention than anyone else. According to the NFL Network, Tank continuously received more than Grossman and Urlacher. When asked, he said he's here for business and is not there for the nightlife or anything. Deion Sanders is ill that there is no "diva" on Media Day. The players for the Bears were very respectful to the game, their team, and to their opponent.
  24. If you have any graded Manning and/or Ripken stuff that you're ever looking to move, feel free to let me know. Did you get he new Becket Baseball Card Plus with Ripken on the cover? If so, you'll see me on page 7.
  25. I didn't know you are a collector. With that being said, you may have a new customer. There are no dealers within an hour from here and all of the retail shops (and some hobby shops) within driving distance are notorious for pack searching.
