That's probably a pretty good theory. A little bit of a dead arm that a skipped start might do wonders for. Absolutely not. Starlin Castro must start every game and lead the majors in plate appearances, and Samardzija must start - now, every 4th day, in a weird personal 4-day rotation scheme. And pinch hit.
