  1. Well the 29.6% who say he should finish the year havent really chosen a side... They still want to give him a chance. Then go on from there.
  2. http://www.ChicagoTribune.com Towards the right side in the middle of the main page, you will find a poll about Dusty Baker. Click Here if you're too blind to find it. If you want to keep voting, delete your cookies. So far, 44.4% think he should get the red tag. 17.9% thinks he deserves an extension. The other two are more reasonable, I guess. Anyhow, cast your vote(s). Maybe they'll listen? Sorry if it's been posted already.
  3. I laugh everytime I see that. Props to the peopl who set it up.
  4. Pre-game ritual? I guess it isnt working. http://www.jonmdavis.net/zbreakdance2.jpg
  5. http://img452.imageshack.us/img452/7347/frontpage4bn.jpg Another front pager. I like this one though.
  6. Hm. They have Derrek Lee on that list. Almost scared me.
  7. I don't get why so many people fail to recognize this fact. When you go in that place it totally gives you the feel of one of those 70's monstrocities. To me it's no better than Shea with more flags. And both of those stadiums have a ridiculous amount of unnecessary and ill-placed bars running between seats. Terrible place to sit and watch a game. You're right. The only "history" I associate with Yankee Stadium is the 70's era Reggie Jackson/Billy Martin teams. I've never sat in the box seats at either place but have never liked the railings. I hope the new places don't have them. http://www.ballparks.com/baseball/american/nyybpk.htm The new stadium is nearly an exact copy of the old one. I dont even know why they need a new one anyhow. I really wonder what New York could do with $220 million they're giving.
  8. If someone scores 7 runs against the Cubs in the first inning, you will see double switch galore Bynum playing his gold glove defense and bringing his clutch bat by the second inning.
  9. And yet, you will listen in on spring training games, and watch 150+ games anyhow. Yeah, we've all likely said what you just did.
  10. If we cannot beat the Nats, we've gone to a new low.
  11. At least Dusty can speak english.
  12. I think this poll should be re-made.
  13. We sound like ESPN announcers.
  14. lol is anyone else concerned about his velocity, or is the Des Moines gun typically slow??? 89-93 is not "Wood-esque" The loss of velocity after surgery is what I was worried about the most. Less velocity = more control = less walks? No?
  15. I have no idea why he would want to come back in 2007... Especially in the national league. Sure he's won gold gloves... But he is as defense worthy as Frank Thomas. Moises Alou - Never really was fond of his fielding. He even made some friends out there. Freddy Bynum - Cant catch a routine fly ball... That's exactly what the Cubs needed in the losing streak. An OF drop a routine ball.
  16. Walker grounds to SS... Cedeno scores.
  17. Cedeno singles! Good move Dusty? Pierre up, getting booed.
  18. Kasper sounding quiet. Says its the worst offensive stretch a team has had since the 1969 Padres?
  19. Hill didn't suck. he certainly wasn't amazing. I'm sorry he didn't throw a no-hitter, what un-realistic expectations. OK HIS 8 HITS 3 WALKS 5 ER IN 6 INNINGS WAS VERY GOOD. He was lucky to be in SF too. He was leaving way too many pitches up in the zone. Those numbers would have been a lot worse in a lot of other parks. Who cares? Cubs cant score for crap anyhow.
  20. It's almost as if you want to see them lose... to get a better draft choice (do losses make a difference in that?) and to see Baker gone. The longer this streak goes, the better chance Dusty has of getting fired. Imagine if it goes to double digits?... This will be and has been a road trip that has and will screw the cubs in the future.
  21. Everytime I think of Barry Bonds getting milestones, I pray to god it wont happen against the Cubs... Passing Babe Ruth against the Cubs is argueablly the second worst. Oh how fortunate are we. Although, I dont think they've allowed a HR against Bonds since Dusty took over... Right? and Dusty probably knows how to get Bonds out.
