  1. I am so sick of the Rex Grossman bashing. He's been alright in the playoffs. He was better than any QB the second round. He was also good enough last week. Look, people have to remember he's still should be considered a rookie. Its his first full season as a QB and his team is going to the Super-bowl. That should be pretty amazing to any sports fan, hands down.
  2. Why cant Bill Gates just buy the Cubs and buy us a championship team?
  3. <3 Urlacher. that contradicts this interview in SI though. Interview with Urlacher SI link gets a 404 for me.
  4. My friend's dad owns a sportswear store in Chicago. Last night, Nathan Vasher & Chris Harris showed up to buy stuff. They bought around $12k worth of it. They took a pic with his dad and they both signed it. When told "You guys better win in Miami" they said "Dont worry, we'll kill em'."
  5. Wow. It started at $1 and now its at $99,999,999.
  6. Rusch was a great addition in 2004. It came to the point that I looked forward to his starts, as well as Z's and Maddux's.
  7. http://img409.imageshack.us/img409/5892/image19qp.jpg Neifi's secret is finially revealed! OH NO!
  8. Fox News Chicago is reporting that Rex Grossman has done a "Got Milk" Super-bowl ad.
  9. On on NFL.com poll, the question asks "Which of these offensive players could end up playing an important role in Super Bowl XLI?" 33% Cedric Benson 26% Dominic Rhodes 21% Desmond Clark 10% Ben Utecht 6% Rashied Davis 4% Aaron Moorehead 13783 votes. ESPN Poll: Which running back will have the best performance in Super-bowl XLI? Thomas Jones leads 43% Addai second 39% Benson third 13% Rhodes last with 6% Wow. We weren't getting any love last week.
  10. T-minus 261 hours! LETS GO BEARS!
  11. It's not so much Spring Training.. because that doesn't always reflect what you will do during the regular season. 162 > 30ish. But if he generally hits better than Jones, I'll take him over Jones. I dunno if the same thing goes for performing better than Murton, but its not my decision.
  12. If you're a Bears fan, dont watch Jim Rome is Burning. You'll later on hope he'll burn.
  13. It's been over 5 minutes and there hasnt been a post in this thread. T-minus 307 hours!
  14. Oh thank god. Assume that Colts will wear white & white?
  15. Anyone see the Super-bowl ad contest winner?
  16. I wonder if either team has started practicing/watching tape yet.
  17. If you're ever being sarcastic online, put tags around the certain phrase you are being sarcastic. Man law.
  18. I think either style coach can have success. Coaching isn't about yelling at or being buddy-buddy with players, it's about getting the most out of players, and either style can do that. The differences between Lovie and Dusty (other than talent level of the team) are so great. Lovie has shown no reluctance to bench players while they are not performing, yet knows when to stick by a guy (Grossman). Lovie's team plays hard. Lovie's team doesn't make many fundamental mistakes. Lovie puts guys in position to have success. Dusty was a disaster. I assume Lovie is more aggressive outside of the game, like practice & all. While Dusty is nowhere.
  19. You'd think a guy as rich as him could buy himself an innocent verdict.
  20. Last night as I was too excited to go to sleep.. I started thinking.. What separates Dusty Baker and Lovie Smith? Both are laid-back managers, and are not really aggressive. Only one is really successful. Why is that? So which is it? Is it better to be a laid-back manager, or an aggressive one that yells all the time? Does it depend on the players the manager is suited for? And now I think about what may happen to Piniella.. Good or bad.
  21. Well, he IS a Packers fan  But seriously, he's under house arrest. If he isn't granted permission to go to Miami with the team, people shouldn't be in an uproar about it. Really? I think if Tank is held back in Chicago it blows the doors off every news outlet in the city. If he's under house arrest, doesnt he still have the right to make a living? Who's your backup DT? Idonije? You could do a whole hell of a lot worse than that. Of course the media will make a big deal out of it, but I don't think it would really hinder the outcome of the game. Losing Tank would be a huge loss. With Harris out, Tank is the only DT we have who has a shot to put pressure on the QB. Tank was missed in the 2 games he was out for at the end of the season. Even if Tank is under house arrest, doesnt he still have the right to make a living?
