  1. It scored a %74 overall by gamerankings. Which is just basically an average game. MLB 07 is better graphicswise, and gameplaywise. What is it about it that looks "freakin awesome" to you? Probably the David Wright commercial with Carlos Zambrano...
  2. ::looks in pocket for $600:: ::disappointed:: :( It's also for PS2. I'm sure you have $80 for a Ps2 and $40 for MLB 07: The Show.
  3. Nobody is forcing you to watch it. I'm watching it for Len's updates between breaks.
  4. Please.. Just let it stop. I am so sick of watching the Sox game.
  5. For those waiting to kill time, Ryan Theriot was a guest on MLB.com's fastcast videos. The video is about 30 mins.. Enough to lead up to the Cubs game if the rain delay is as short... It's called "MLB.com Midday, May 16" and it's toward the middle of the page.
  6. Dang. It's going to get really crowded in the outfield tonight. Part of that crowded outfield Lou was talking about, I guess. If this game is to be played, they just announced it won't start until after 9 EDT. Well, since it is wet, Santo's hair won't catch on fire. Glass half full!
  7. Ew. Sox game on. *TV off*
  8. Red Sox/Tigers game also cancelled in Boston. It was scheduled for ESPN. Poor them. They're showing games around the league. They went to the desperation of showing Marlins/Pirates.
  9. I bet Randolph told his hitters to suck this game to make Z look good in front of Minaya. That way, he could go hard after him in the offseason.
  10. Chicago Cubs Vs. Jorge Sosa http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/7152/cubsvssosate2.jpg New York Mets Vs. Rich Hill http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/771/hillvsmetsrl1.jpg
  11. You're doing good work. It's rather convincing.
  12. I think I took every opportunity in '03 and '04 to point out to as many people as possible just how incredibly similar those two guys are as far as hitting styles. Their battings stances are slightly different, and Aramis' has changed slightly since we first got him, IIRC. But yeah, there's definitely a comparison to be made there. Wikipedia says they're cousins. Dont know how far that goes...
  13. I remember when the Minnesota Twins ballpark was first proposed, it had a retractable roof. Looks like plans changed.
  14. Maybe it's a Ramirez thing... But I've noticed... Manny and Aramis - When they hit a home run and they KNOW it's gone, they do the slow walk past home plate.. And both of their's is very similar. I dont know if it falls into the "not classy" category... But I like it.
  15. Cisco Field - Oakland Athletics Citi Field - New York Mets Nationals Park - Washington Nationals Minnesota Twins New Ballpark New Yankee Stadium - New York Yankees I know I've made this poll before, but it was a while ago. There have been newer plans and approvals since then. Cisco Field - Oakland Athletics - I like it. It seems like a unique setting. I can see a home run ball go onto the street, much like Wrigley Field. You can see what I mean in Photo Gallary 2 in the link I gave above. There's also seats on rooftops accross the street. Impersonation, much? Maybe Hendry will now try to copy Billy Beane's style of creating a team... Citi Field - New York Mets - The New York Mets need a new ballpark. Shea Stadium isnt a great place to play or watch a baseball game. Good riddence. As for Citi Field, it's okay. Nothing special. It falls into the cookie cutter category. Nationals Park - Washington Nationals - I think they can also use a new Park. RFK isnt also a great place to play baseball either. As for the park, nothing really special here, either. Looks like another cookie cutter. Minnesota Twins New Ballpark - Minnesota Twins - Another team that can use a ballpark... And this one looks quite good. What doesnt next to the Metrodome? The park - Like the shape of the roof and the grandstands. Good outfield also. Will be a HUGE improvement over Metrodome. New Yankee Stadium - New York Yankees - Oh my god. I really dont understand why the Yankees need a new ballpark. The current one looks like it's in fine shape to me. It's full of so much history, and I just dont understand why they have to tear it down. I can understand why Mets need a new park. Their old stadium is tearing apart. Isnt there something better the City of New York can spend $200 mil. on? And a $800 mil. from the Yankees for a combined $1 billion for a new ballpark that looks near identical to the old one? I'm stuck between Cisco Field and Minnesota Twins new park. Both look great... But I'll have to go with Cisco. Just has a special feel to it.
  16. Really... How?
  17. CUBS WIN! CUBS WIN! CUBS WIN!
  18. Ha. I just thought it was a BS injury to get Guzman in the majors.

  20. Chicago Cubs Vs. John Maine http://img260.imageshack.us/img260/5026/mainevscubsxc0.jpg New York Mets Vs. Carlos Zambrano http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/3747/metsvszsr9.jpg
  21. Yeah. I'm at work right now. I have the match-ups ready at home.. and I will post them as soon as I arrive.. 4:30 PM ct... And you're right, they dont look pretty... But when they have, we still lose.
  22. I dont see Floyd leaving. Hendry has been wanting him for years, and he finally got him... Dont see him being traded in the near future, at least.
  23. You don't recall our bullpen with Alfonsucka or Hawkins then? Well, in a couple years you'll probably be saying, "don't you remember those bozos Howry, Eyre, and Ohman?" It's really that bad. This is definitely in Alfonsucka territory, don't you think? How many leads do they have to blow? Cubs bullpen ERA's: 2007: 3.61 (before today) 2006: 4.04 2005: 4.24 2004: 4.03 2003: 4.16 2002: 4.86 2001: 3.93 2000: 5.17 This is the best pen the Cubs have had in a while. Cotts's and Dempster's ERAs bring that down a whole lot.
