have you ever been to south bend in the fall/early winter? it's gray and often windy, rainy, snowy, crappy. that's why Kelly wants to practice outside all the time. any day between October and May that doesn't rain/snow/sleet and also gives you actual, real deal sunlight, is [expletive] gorgeous. they don't call it 'permacloud' for nothing. C'mon. It's South Bend, not Siberia. Nobody thinks a day with wind gusts up to 60mph is "beautiful."

it was rumored that self called about the arkansas job the year before he left illinois for ku. but i agree, he would never leave ku. he turned down $8 zillion to go to his alma mater. he's not going to arkansas. I think if he leaves, it would have to be for an NBA job.

nice history. flagship school in the state. wouldn't have to compete in the murderer's row Big East. SEC is ripe for the plucking, aside from UK and to a lesser degree, UF. Arkansas is supposed to be in a very pretty/cool area. Lots of money to throw around. Rabid fanbase (though not a realistic perspective on their relevance, imo.)

be good to add another good coach to the league. i think BCG could do good work in Norman. It's a place that has proven it can win at a fairly high level, but it doesn't have the insane expectations of UK.

I'm almost to the point of hoping we miss as it might mean Weber will be getting some pressure. I don't think they'll be much difference unless we made a run in the tourney. Obviously these horse [expletive] seniors (except maybe Davis) are never gonna have the light turn on, so that won't be happening. People are pissed, and another disaster next year like this one and I think he's gone. is terminating weber's contract early especially cost prohibitive? I know there will be costs for any early termination, but some schools are better at structuring the contract. (For example, all 5 years of Turner Gill's contract are guaranteed. Yama-hama.)

Illinois should get in. 9-9 in a tough conference, wins over UNC and Wisconsin. It could get dicey if MSU and PSU win their games, though.

Tad Boyle did a nice job with that Colorado team this year.

he's playing terribly, and allegedly his foot is really slowing him down. Self sits on his super talented kids though. Or has at Kansas, he kind of seemed to throw them into the fire more at Illinois. But he played Christian Moody over some super talented young guys. And now Morningstar has to be the worst three year starter in KU history. it's pretty frustrating, although Selby hasn't shown much on the court for a month or so. It has affected his recruiting, though, I think.
