    Where did that come from? FSMW put up a list of Hall of Famers who have played for both the Cubs and Cardinals. He was on it. Well, you have to remeber it was the dead ball era. And he did set some sort of record for games played by a shortstop if I remember correctly. Other than that, I'm not sure. He must have been a defensive stud.

    I think what annoys me most about him is his lack of entheusiasm. If a Cub were to hit a go ahead home run, he'd have just about the same tone of voice as if he had flied out. (WHOOOO Pujols didn't make Marquis pay for the walk) As a pbp guy, yea he's bad. This broadcast has been a walk on the painful side tonight. He doesn't normally do pbp though, and for pregames and score updates and occasional fill-ins, I've had no real beef with him. Sorta like Neifi - possibly a decent 25th man, just PLEASE don't let him see much action. Yes, I have no problem with him in that role. I just really wish Pat were here today.

    I miss him as well. Corey seems fake somehow.

    They could do alot worse Yeah, but Corey is a lot worse than Pat. That said, he's a heck of a lot better than many other announcers.

    I miss Pat. Corey Provis (or however you spell it) annoys me.

    Well, he'll be out when the Brewers play them as well, so I'm not sure it's necessarily an advantage for us.

    I don't post here often, but I can't believe Jeff "the Gas Can" Fassero and Kyle "let me blow an eight run lead" Farnsworth haven't been mentioned. I was at a game in Milwaukee a few years ago, and Farnsworth came in with something like a nine or ten run lead, and gave up six or seven runs before being taken out. And then there was the punching a fan incident.
