  1. All the GMOs he ate in the 80s and 90s had to have affected his brain.
  2. I want a Blackhawks-like run. 3 WS titles, always in the playoffs in a 10 year span... Yea I'd like that.
  3. LaTroy Hawkins sighting.
  4. Speaking of building the team, remember how we were all putting together dream lineups while our dongsmiths were in the minors? Theo did too! http://nypost.com/2015/10/15/how-theo-epstein-rebuilt-cubs-on-a-hotel-bar-cocktail-napkin/
  5. Without googling, I'm saying one of these guys is someone supposedly really good on the Mets like deGrom. The other guy is Dan Haren. Not sure who's who.
  6. FDB would be the greatest thing about this playoff run.
  7. We better get used to Javy doing whatever he wants. Russell isn't on the NLCS roster.
  8. When I think of this team I think of big swingin dongs, not little ball half-dong things. We're here because of our big swingin dongs. The Yankees of yore won because of their big swingin dongs. Plenty of other teams won because of big swingin dongs too.
  9. While searching for Schwarber's dong last night, I found this.
  10. https://twitter.com/baskincase/status/654421882406608898
  11. Edwin Encarnacion's dong the inning before is quite worthy of this thread too.
  12. I want a gif of that dong too. Those were some seriously pimped homers.
  13. I want a gif of that Encarnacion dong soooo badly.
  14. All of us caught that home run ball. That ball sitting on the scoreboard is a monument to the defeat of the despised Cardinals in a playoff series. Schwarber's dong is now enshrined as a warning for opponents, for the confines are no longer friendly. That ball signifies the end of Cardinals tyranny. It's for our grandmothers and grandfathers who never saw a playoff series win at Wrigley field. It is for all of us who suffered through the Tribune regime, suffered with Alex Gonzalez's booted double-play ball, Victor Diaz, black cats, goats, even the recent tanking. That ball is for all Cubs fans, showing us that things have changed forever.
  15. Baez has to draw all sorts of shade with the MLB logo on the back of his neck.
  16. If I were them I'd want an all-Texas ALCS. Big markets and a burgeoning rivalry there.

  18. The entire bar I'm at laughed at Soler's .800 BA.
  19. Lackey's empty facial expression looks like he just suffered a concussion.
  20. Bump for 3-run postseason dong.
  21. There are like 4 other names you could put in place of Schwarber and I wouldn't be mad.
  22. Soler has become so good he found a way to get on base more than 100% of the time.
  23. The Cubs are 7-0 against the Mets this season. I so no reason to be afraid. That was also before the Mets had an offense. They're a much better team now, but I don't think they're going to beat anyone 4 times. Our offense was also worse, and Arrieta was a pitching god then.
