All of us caught that home run ball. That ball sitting on the scoreboard is a monument to the defeat of the despised Cardinals in a playoff series. Schwarber's dong is now enshrined as a warning for opponents, for the confines are no longer friendly. That ball signifies the end of Cardinals tyranny. It's for our grandmothers and grandfathers who never saw a playoff series win at Wrigley field. It is for all of us who suffered through the Tribune regime, suffered with Alex Gonzalez's booted double-play ball, Victor Diaz, black cats, goats, even the recent tanking. That ball is for all Cubs fans, showing us that things have changed forever.
