  4. Jason Bere just no hit the Astros. Julian Tavarez just no hit the Astros.
  5. Good job Edmonds. Put Pie in CF.
  6. I would perfer we get them as fast as possible without letting anyone on base.
  7. I really should listen to Pat&Ron more often.
  8. ROFL it would be really sad if Lilly does it today.
  9. I would like to see Wrigley stay, but sometime there will be a need to replace it. I can see both sides of this issue, and if the Cubs move to another ballpark in Chicago I wouldn't be too distraught. I'll still root for them. Ohh, I'm 24. Isn't Wrigley on the National Register of Historic Places, and can't be torn down?
  10. OK, OK, so that wasn't quite my best. I'll post a classic instead. http://media1.suntimes.com/multimedia/060608hotcubs151_cst_feed_20080606_21_31_58_3205-400-300.imageContent
  11. I want to take my son to at least one game at Wrigley, just so he can have that feeling that I had when my dad took me for my first game. In my dream world we'd get both. The Cubs would build a new stadium but Wrigley wouldn't be tore down. Instead it could become the defacto Chicago Cubs museum and otherwise be used by youth sports and/or college and high school teams. With the Cubs continuing to play a series or two per season there. But then I generally wake up and it's time for work. :( I'm probably one of the biggest fans of the Cubs getting a new ballpark (ideally where Cabrini Green is right now, with the skyline behind the outfield, and tons of parking), but I can't really see a situation where Wrigley would be torn down. It would be too profitable as a tourist attraction and its use for a variety of sporting events and concerts. Isn't Wrigley Field on the National Register of Historic Places, and can't be torn down now? Eventually, I know the Cubs will be forced into a new ballpark. I'll still support em and I'll still find ways to go to games in St. Louis, Houston, etc.
  12. Hell yes. one of my best friends is a huge cubs fan and lives in tulsa... i would think that you might be him, but he can't spell any of the players' names, so it can't be. I might need to change my location... I'm kinda at OU now.
  13. Really cool where Santo says it was the first time since he joined the radio broadcast that he felt like a player. I think he's crying.
  14. He was getting squeezed that AB. He hit Pence with a pitch, though.
  15. I don't remember who made the second out of the ninth, but I remember not knowing who it was at the time either, and when I saw Riot back up to play the second hop and remembered about his weak arm, I was a little worried that it may have been someone fast enough to beat the throw headed toward first. Run-on sentences are fun. That would be Jose Castillo.
  16. Do not spell His name wrong. He will smite you for this offense.
  17. Season over.
  18. The Cubs play well when pictures like this show up in game threads. EDIT: It was my best find. Scroll down for a different pic.
  19. White Sox hit a grand slam. Means less time until Sportscenter and more highlights.
