  1. OU's case for a #1 seed rests entirely on how the committee treats the losses @Texas and to KU without Blake Griffin. But on your list I like MSU over both Louisville and Memphis. I'd probably favor MSU resume more than UConn's too.
  2. At this point I think the only team you can lock out of the SEC is Tennessee, and even worse is that I'm not sure that they're the best team in the conference. South Carolina has a bad loss @ College of Charleston and no good wins. Their RPI is sagging a bit, too. The SOS is also pretty ugly. Tennessee goes to Charleston tomorrow, though. I think they can work their way up to an 8 seed if they win vs Tenn, @Georgia, and then a game or 2 in the SEC tourney. Both of LSU's losses in conference are pretty ugly, @Alabama and Vandy at home. They did nothing out of conference (well, if you consider getting buried by 30 @Utah good). Their NC SOS is about as putrid as Penn State's and playing twice against Alabama, Auburn, Miss St, Ole Miss, and Arkansas didn't help their computer numbers at all.
  3. I'm not completely sure I can lock LSU right now. Tonight's loss to Vandy at home was atrocious. They won't be favored @Auburn. If they drop their opener in the SEC tournament, do they get in?
  4. It's the style of play. Yep the style of play us 1900s Big Ten teams can't keep up with. We just play 4 corners offense every time down and would get throttled by a team like Mizzou. Wow, good job, no one even mentioned the Big Ten. Plus, no one is saying Mizzou isn't beatable, they definitely are and it's not that awful to do (as Illinois, kansas and Nebraska showed this year) Edit: Unless that was from a previous discussion with CubInOK that I missed. Then I apologize. That's definitely a "Ha Ha We beat Mizzou!!!" type of post. Maybe it should have been written in green.
  5. It's the style of play. Yep the style of play us 1900s Big Ten teams can't keep up with. We just play 4 corners offense every time down and would get throttled by a team like Mizzou. What's even stranger is that OU beat Mizzou by like 15 in Norman last year with a worse team.
  6. Meanwhile, why is Texas Tech beating Kansas?
  7. All 4 of those teams would probably win the Big Ten. If you don't think UNC, Duke, UConn, Pitt, or Louisville would all win the Big Ten you're delusional. The only sport the Big Ten has a consistent shot at winning the national championship in is wrestling... ACC and Big East consistently have a shot to win in basketball... SEC and Big 12 consistently have a shot to win in football... the Big Ten has fallen by the wayside in the last 5 years in the major sports... wrestling is a major sport??? the worlds oldest and greatest. If anyone other than an Iowan or a wrestler said that, I'd be surprised. Oklahoma State fans say hi. oklahoma state is the british empire of college wrestling. no one gives a [expletive] about them anymore. I'm just glad other people think the same way of them that I do.
  8. I think Kentucky needs to win the SEC tourney now.
  9. It's the style of play.

  11. OU can't handle Mizzou's defense. I always thought Mizzou was good and I had this game as a loss for OU for awhile now. The SEC might be a 1-bid conference maybe?
  12. Purdue lost to OU in NYC.
  13. The next time we will see a matchup like this will be on December 12, 2012.
  14. http://realtimerpi.com/rpi_Men.html Here's a free RPI site that updates once a day. Anyway it's what the committee uses, so if it's any help...
  15. I guess I'll join in.
  16. Someone please convince me on why LSU is a good team.
  17. The commentator was screaming for a 5-second call the entire time as well.
  18. I dunno about the Big 12 tournament. I think since the Texas schools were added to the Big 8 it lost some of its luster, but I don't remember anything really about the Big 8. People that do remember say the Big 8 tourney was big. Now, the Big 12 tourney is in Oklahoma City sometimes (like this year), Dallas sometimes, and KC sometimes. I can never figure it out. People in OKC go to it, even the women's games. I'm not too sure about the other sites, but I've always thought KC was a pretty nice place for it.
  19. Hmm... Michigan's winning. They must be unconscious from 3 right now...
  20. I think they do. But whoever said it earlier was right--I think he would bolt for an ACC gig. Why? Why get in that conference with the two monsters? It eats up coaches. Pac Ten is where to go. Besides UCLA and Howland none of those other teams would scare me into thinking I couldn't outrecruit them. I've heard him say once that he would leave for only 2 schools, and they don't need coaches right now. Obviously, one is Duke when Coach K is done. But the hot rumor is that he's going to either Arizona or Maryland. I've got to think Gary Williams will be there next season if they make the dance this year, though.
  21. Yep. We can match pretty much anyone dollar-for-dollar.
  22. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a47/madhops_42/suckitbitches.jpg In one of OU's best years ever and a transitional year for UI. I'll take it, especially based on expectations at the beginning of the year. On the other hand, Capel seems to have his crap together and may be able to maintain a solid program at OU, so who knows. Yeah but at least we don't have an ex-Dukie as coach. and it's only a matter of time before a job in the ACC or Big 10 opens up for him. What job in the Big 10 that's likely to open is better than OU? take your pick. Iowa? How is Iowa better than Oklahoma? Indiana? Yea, they're better, but do you think they're gonna fire Crean after one season? Northwestern? LOL nope. Michigan? Ehh perhaps. How long has Beilein been there?
  23. Here come's another loss for OU.
  24. Does Washington always wear gold on the road? They probably do that just to fool the opponent into throwing passes to them.
