  1. Well, another year of letting him have it when he comes to Columbia. Hopefully this has negative implications on their recruitment of Releford, although I don't know why it would. I wonder if Bill will take back the mean words he had about him now. Time for all the Jayhawk fans I know who badmouthed him to forget they did it. may be a torn ACL. Don't know how that will affect his NBA future. It's a torn ACL. Timepoint of return could be anywhere between six months to a year.
  2. Wow... Hill at RF? That's something you never see.
  3. Hmm... I'm gonna go with Sosa's 600 first before Cox's ejections.
  4. Great minds think alike. :D
  5. Interesting. Yet the minor leaguer manager for the AA Braves was suspended for 3 games, even though that was the Braves decision, not MLB.
  6. He'd hinted in his pregame comments the previous day that he might intentionally get kicked out of a game. He just saw that call as his opportunity. What I think is bull is the idea that a player can physically assault a teammate without getting suspended, but a manager can't kick dirt on an umpire. Bingo. That's my beef as well.
  7. I guess I fail to see why he should be suspended. It's not like he spit on the umpire or anything. I don't buy the "Kicking the umpire" becuase if he actually kicked the umpire, the umpire would had reacted to the kick. Test the theory. Kick your mom, dad, brother, sister, whoever, at the foot/shin and see how their reaction is. More than likely their reaction would be "Ow" and grasping at their foot/shin. I didn't see anything like that.
  8. This year? LOL! Hell yes. The Cubs are so much better than this Mickey Mouse garbage we're seeing out there.
  9. This is rather insulting to the average 15 year old girl. While it may be insulting, it's a fact.
  10. This baseball team is the worst baseball team I ever seen this year. Amazing that a $100 million payroll can really be flushed down the toilet (Other than D-Lee and Aramis) with a bunch of players that has no business being here, especially with their enflated egos. The solution to the problem is that the Cubs need to do a major purge of their organization. I'm willing to keep the President since he's new, but the GM needs to go. The Manager needs to go, and certain players need to go. I don't think the Cubs ever had a true re-building mode. It's just been reloading with spent shell castings. Perhaps the solution is to rebuild?
  11. I hope that's a joke. Heh.
  12. Of course, Izturd grounds into a friggin double play.
  13. Awesome, here's the start of a false rally!
  14. ROFL on the fan taunting the left fielder.
  15. While we're in agreement that it is a silly idea, it is the Cubs we're talking about here, and the odds of the Cubs pulling this stunt off is pretty high.
  16. In other words, this organization doesn't understand what the heck they're doing. They shipped out the wrong player. It should had been Eyre, regardless of contract or whatever else is in the way.
  17. I guess I don't understand the logic of having Dempster in the rotation.
  18. Just stay away from doing PHP, and hopefully it'll be fine. PHP? Prolonged Hit Parade. That's what the sox went on yesterday when i did pbp :) Exactly. :D
  19. Just stay away from doing PHP, and hopefully it'll be fine.
  20. Kinda funny to see the 2-4 spot first names begin with A.

  22. Darn, would had liked to see him start, but as long as he's available to PH'ing, I can live with it.
