    Rockies/Royals game, Miguel Olivo's bat got shattered and cut up the home plate ump. They're going 3 umpiring crew for the rest of the game, and it's only the 2nd inning.

    Honestly, I really don't give a rip who's better than Aramis. I'm just very happy that the Cubs finally got a decent 3rd baseman after all those years after Santo.

    I know everybody's having a wet dream over Harden/Burrnett, and I don't blame ya'll for it. But another question that I might ask is, even though the Dodgers are only 4.0 games out in 1st at the NL West, has there been any rumblings relating to Brad Penny? As for the buy/sell mode, looking at the standings right now, Toronto might be the only one that would be selling, since the other pitchers that the Cubs are interested are 5.0 games or less behind the division leaders.

    I take that phrase to mean someone like Pie. None of the others are on the level of "very good". Cedeno and Murton probably come closest, but they're not close enough. I think they are either looking for a leadoff hitter who can hit, or a middle of the order bat. They are hurting for a big bat in the middle. Guillen isn't the answer for them, unfortunatey....

    Calm down, buddy. This team is anything but a disgrace and we both know it. I'm not calling the whole team a disgrace. Just pretty much the pen/players who can't hold a six run lead, that's all.

    Yeah, but thankfully the offense got into gear when it mattered, so hopefully we won't see Marmol or Wood tonight. Although I know that Marmol was not going to pitch tonight, you just never know when it comes to good ol Lou.
