  1. 4 walks in 443??
  2. I would agree. Also I must point out that the Royals suckage can contribute to the fact that Kauffman doesn't get alot of credit. I been to the "K" and it's deftinaly a beauty despite that it's age is showing. The "K" will go renovations since that sales tax passed not too long ago. Here are some photos of the game between the Royals and the 'Stros in June 18 of last year. Yes, I know my crap camera date says otherwise, but it's wrong. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v39/SwedeCarlson/Royals/June%2018%202005/
  3. Not bad. Pretty close.
  4. Yeah, I saw that. I just wondered if there has been some people that were driving on I-29 or US 71 to Marysville, Missouri that were able to pick up any reception.
  5. Based on your current height and weight (totally ignoring your physical abilities, age, fitness level, etc.) what position could you play at the professional baseball level? I'm sitting at 6'2", 245 lbs so I'm going to sign up to be a starting pitcher. Poll is forthcoming.
  6. That's what I was thinking of. I wasn't sure if it will reach that far since it's about 2 1/2 hours (IIRC) from DesMoines. Same to Omaha. The only town that is close is called Atlantic IA, which is about an hr. I may get lucky, I hope.
  7. Hey folks. I am going to be gone to Iowa (Bedford, which is about 45-50 miles north from Marysville, Missouri) for the Easter weekend. By any chance that WGN Radio will get close to that area? Bedford is about 2 hours east from Omaha Nebraska, and IIRC, about 2 1/2 hours SW from Des Moines. I know that the KC Metro area doesn't have the WGN radio network. My gut feeling tells me yes, becuase of the fact that it's 2 hours east from Omaha, and I know for certain that my girlfriends parents get the Omaha TV stations. (I would watch the game on WGN on TV, but they do not have cable.) And MLB.com will not be able to save me this time, since I won't have any internet access. Any ideas?
  8. Which brings up the question. Do you think that the Nationals might try to bean Pedro, from his actions a week ago?
  9. Good deal. I just hope Maddux would be able to continue to sustatin this type of pitching effectiveness throughout the season and hopefully into the playoffs. I was suprised that he only managed to give up just one run aganist the Red's offense, along with that wind was blowing out. (IF the wind was blowing out. I didn't see if it was or not, but I caught some of the game on the radio, sometime in the 3rd to 4th inning.)
  10. Hmm... other than Willis, the Marlins haven't had much luck with Cub players, if I am not mistaken. On the other hand, Lee has been a wonderful for the Cubs, and for now, Pierre have done a good job so far.
  11. The Cobs win! The Cobs win! :D Good game indeed.
  12. Nice car. I just hope he'll have a security people watching his car, so that it won't get stolen, like his bike did. Speaking of that, did he ever get his bike back? I can't remember if he did or not.
  13. Did you see the game? Sisco and the Royals got hosed. I did, and he was getting used by that home plate ump, but all those walks will come back and kill you, one way or another.
  14. Oh, and Sisco costed the Royals another game. Wow.
  15. Did you get the express written consent of Major League Baseball? Ans ESPN? lol.... it will prolly be taken down so watch it while u can Well, if it does get taken down, then you could more than likely expect the FBI to be knocking on your front door.
  16. I hope both Wood and Prior can come back healthy and maintain healthy for the rest of the season. I can't stand Rusch as much as I used to.
  17. Holy... Good thing I was at work whenever this happened.
  18. I watched Sunday's game on TV. I thought it was a very creditable outing by Marshall. He showed poise, just as he did in spring training. Good deal. I figured maybe you would had gone to the game, instead of watching the game on TV, and having to listen to Joe Morgan's comments.
  19. Thanks Bruce! By any chance you went to the game Sunday? If so, what is your thought of Marshall's first big league game?
  20. For now it's AT&T Park. PacBell>>>SBC>>>AT&T I'd just call it Phone Company Park now to be safe. That's the way to do it.
  21. Elaborate? I think he was probably talking about the time where Sergio Mitre was getting rocked the game before or something like that, and Dempster was playfully teasing about it, which I believe that was on Fox.
  22. Vance, you know I love you like a brother, but you're far too compulsive to wait until tonight to watch the replay. See you here during the game !! Yeah....you're right. But I won't have the time to check in much. My 7th period is working its way through Romeo and Juliet so I'll be busy most of the time. O Vance, Vance! wherefore art thou Vance?
  23. Not to derail this thread further, but did anybody see Tino Martinez's debut on Baseball Tonight about a week or so ago? I'm not sure if it was the deer-in-the-headlights look or his stilted delivery, but either way he quickly became my least favorite new guy to be added to ESPN's payroll. Why isn't an Eric Karros or AL Leiter taking Kruk or Reynolds place on that set? I'd love to see either of those guys, or Grace, taking a job like that. I'm tired of ESPN and other networks treating us fans like we're a bunch of idiots. To be honest with you, I think the average NSBB poster knows more about baseball than the average analyst over at ESPN, and that's just wrong. I would agree with that. I honestly consider myself an average NSBB poster in terms of salary and production, along with stats, and I honestly believe that I can do better than some of those clowns on ESPN. Truthfully though, I do would love to broadcast an actual game, like Len and Bob.
