  1. sounds like someone doesn't need to see another drink tonight.
  2. I don't care if he sends Zambrano to first, someone else needs to play. Lee is a parody of himself right now. I'm really beginning to think the physical part of it isn't the whole story for Lee. I think he's shown a whole lot of decline not just since the wrist, but since his daughter got diagnosed with that disorder. I think he may not be fully focused on the game, which would be completely understandable. Just a theory. In a pre-game interview on 720 with judd serott, Lee said that it was actually a misdiagnosis, and that his daughter does not actually have that disease, and her sight is no longer degenerating. So it's not that.
  3. http://www.myp2pforum.eu/mlb-baseball/38654-baseball-today-tuesday-may-12th-streaming.html Scroll down to the Cubs game, JBTV is streaming it tonight. Make sure you have TVAnts downloaded first: http://tvants.en.softonic.com/download what about for macs?
  4. Shafer is a fascinating dude. They had him on the local ESPN radio show yesterday evening. Seems likeable enough, and went on and on about how he likes to throw inside on guys, as well about his older brothers (2 or 3 were in the minors at one point or another), etc. Pretty entertaining guy.
  5. from the CST twitter: Big Z (hammy) doing better, scheduled for Class A rehab start Sat or Sun. So maybe that will be the guy filling in Peoria. I may finally make it to a game this year.
  6. anyone else think LeBron does 'roids? He's just so ungodly huge
  7. Pretty sure Perez had two errors today, unless one was called back, which it shouldn't have been, because as the announcer called it, they seemed like real bad mistakes. His total would then be 5 errors so far, while no other fielder in the league has more than 3.
  8. so long as the cards lose, i'm all in for a 100 hr season from pujols. he's on my homerun league team.
  9. apparently got Lidge again. couldn't help but laugh heartily
  10. I think Santo should sing it every day. This guest conductor crap grew old a long time ago. I agree. =D> I like having guests. It gives watching a game some variety with the interview in the bottom 7th. Its entertaining like a talk show right after the stretch. Love your AV, and respect the post count, but baseball is entertaining enough for me. I don't care about celebrities in the booth, and frankly think it takes away from the game - what i tuned in for - something with enough variety by itself. If they are going to keep doing this, Santo is the best option, with said genuine Cub fan occasional exceptions.
  11. He is bad. It surprises me that WGN couldn't find some young pup to come in and do that job, like Provus or Masur. They wouldn't have to pay them squat. The chance alone at all that exposure would attract some of the best young talent, I would think. He is the nephew of one of the WGN radio talk show hosts. I assume that's how he got the gig. Provus and Masur were both really good, esp Masur. Kind of miss him. This might be a really dumb question, but why does Pat take those breaks? I understood it with the young guys on some level, but with a slug that is going nowhere, why do they continue to do this? It's a mystery. Ron has brought it up via faxed questions, but Pat is actually kind of confrontational when it comes up, saying things like 'it's none of your buisness.' I imagine he's on a rigid bathroom break schedule or something.
  12. Great idea. Hows about we let him do it in Iowa or Daytona. A great minor league attendance draw gimmick! brilliant.
  13. Instead of atbats, they should just let Gathright run down the 1st base line, with the 1stbaseman standing in his way. If he can hurdle the defender, he gets the base.

  15. Judd Serot is pretty hard to listen to. And it doesn't seem like Ron cares for him either
  16. But Lincecum is better against LHH than RHH. .218 BAA/.235 in his career
  17. would there have been a few more homeruns tonight if the wind wasn't blowing in? sounds like there's been a few close ones.
  18. McCovey Chronicles is that-a-way if you want to be shown the door. :P :) SF is beautiful. I love Chicago, don't get me wrong, but ... winter ... and who doesn't like Lincecum? just seems like a chill dude with a rude arm. Cubs fan til the death, though. :D
  19. Sandoval is one of my baseball man crushes. Lincecum is the other. and i am thinking about moving to SF.
  20. Drop Hamilton. Add Longoria. Thanks!
  21. except for the cubs, whom he has never thrown against, iirc
