  1. Link. I guess you know the Orioles are having problems in the outfield when they end up platooning two failed Cubs prospects.
  2. I went with Durham, assuming we're looking to sign right now. If I learn Sheets is pitching and healthy, I'd change my mind.
  3. I frankly don't see much improvement in the Cards pen, and combined with some poor defense, I expect there to be some late inning losses. When some of the players who are over performing offensively come back to earth, I think they'll settle into being around an 86 win team. Of course, they could out perform that, but they also could underperform it. I'm not expecting any more than a half of season from Carpenter, if that.
  4. Theriot has been surprising me for the past two seasons. Last year, he did it by keeping is OBP respectable for the whole year. This year, he's added some pop. Whatever it is, I hope he keeps it up.
  5. I had this thought at first, then I looked up his numbers on BR. Frankly, I think he's done. Defensively, he'd be equal to or better than Miles. On the other hand, as crazy as it sounds, I think Miles has a better bat at this stage. Graffianino didn't play in the majors at all last year. He was hitting 130/167/174 when he was cut this year. In 2007, he hit 238/315/390. You have to go all the way back to 2006 to find a season where he wasn't abysmal with the bat. He's now 37, so I wouldn't count on him reverting to the numbers he put up when he was 31-34. He does provide defensive versatility, but I'm not sure he's enough of an upgrade over Miles to pursue.
  6. I expect the Cardinals to fade as the year goes on. The defense will begin to be a problem for them, and I don't expect Duncan, Barden, and Molina to hit as well has they have thus far. Will they keep it close? Maybe. I expect them to win around 86 this year.
  7. It would be a shorter list to make on of the players who haven't.

  9. Ok, I just got home. I'm going to watch through the Tivo of the game later, but please tell me that Len or Bob asked Denise about her role in Wild Things?
  10. You've got XM radio, no? The Marlins telecast is all I'm getting on my EI package. If I listen to the XM, it won't be in synch with the TV

  17. While reading the Cowboys coverage of the draft at the DMN site, I stumbled on Martellus Bennett's blog. http://cowboysinsiderblog.dallasnews.com/archives/2009/04/why-do-black-people-love-chick.html
  18. I had almost forgotten what it was like to see a Cubs' win.
  19. Ok. Now the Cowboys have drafted a TE when we already have two of those that are pretty good. I guess we'll use one of our seventh rounders to draft this guy. http://www.strangesports.com/images/content/3321.jpg or maybe this one... http://roclar.net/RP/XavierBlueBlob.jpg Hell...I think this one scouts better though. http://msn.foxsports.com/id/8652660
