Yep. yep God forbit pitchers, you know, get a few guys out. Eyre did get six guys out. He shouldn't have been sent out for the ninth. God forbid, Lou learn how to use a pen. He's messed it up all year long. Hey he was trying to do fatboy a favor and get his confidence back up. yeah, it was a bad move, but if chunk didn't walk the first 2 batters of the inning, this big inning probably woundn't have happened. Winning a game is more important than his confidence. Lou should have never tried to extend Scott a third inning. It was dumb. Dusty Baker level dumbness. As we all have seen, Eyre has been shaky. He was anything but lights out in the 2 previous innings. Sending him out there was stupid. This one is on Lou. Sure it would be nice if Eyre could pitch there, but expecting him to make it through that inning unscathed is the definition of stupidity.

Blame this one on Lou. Eyre lucked his way through two innings. There was no reason to send him out for the ninth. If Lou lets Howry start his own inning, this game has a different result.

As Bob said, There's no IQ test to come into the ballpark. Apparently, not one in deciding who gets to manage the bullpen either.

Given that he is a converted infielder, shouldn't it help that he has less mileage on his arm? Depends on how you look at it. Some players are able to convert into becoming a pitcher and some end of blowing out their arms trying to. Im not going to go into the mechanical side of it because the majority of the people would not understand it. so you're saying that some pitchers blow out their arms and some don't? fantastic analysis. and if by "not understand it" you mean mock you relentlessly, then, yeah, we wouldn't understand. :lol:
