Exactly. If those guys really were unavailable, the Cubs had a couple of choice. First make a roster move and bring up another pitcher. Second, go ahead and DL Dempster and bring up another pitcher. Either way, expecting to finish a game started by Marquis with only Wuertz and Eyre was complete stupidity. Leaving Eyre in for the ninth, regardless of the lead was dumbdumbdumbdumbdumb! -
