  1. Your not peeing on them are you Derwood? It would be ok if he could aim and hit Cowherd.
  2. Let's put the he had a prescription so it's ok excuse to bed. The reason he had a prescription is because the pharmacy linked in the indictment had a doctor who would illegally prescribe these to anyone who wanted them. This isn't the case of a doctor prescribing something and a patient believing it's ok because his trusted physician said so. Imagine if a pharmacy found it could make an unbelievable amount of money by selling narcotics to addicts. They set up shop and then agree to split profits with a doctor who writes scripts for any addict who uses the service. While it's shady for the doctor and pharmacy, it's not any better on the addicts either.
  3. I really like this league we have. It's been a lot of fun. Also, I like the set-up where we only keep a small number of players. A friend I work with also plays in a league that is similar in set-up. Beginning this year they inserted a new rule which adds a twist to their keepers. (They keep four rather than three, BTW). They have a three year limit to keeper status. Beginning this year, they decided that after a player is kept three years, he has to be allowed back into the draft. You don't have to keep a player three years and it only applies to those who were designated a keeper. So if you let a player go, only to draft him again, after that year, he'd still have three years as a keeper if you wanted to. To be fair, they didn't go back...so even players who have been kept since their league's inception still could be kept for three years starting now. They liked the idea because it would mean that eventually all players would find their way back into the draft pool. I thought I'd throw it out there and we could spend the whole season to discuss it and all. Even if we decided to go this way, it really wouldn't change anything until three years down the road. Anyway...just an idea.
  4. My team is blah...but I've made the playoffs every year. My problem was, that outside of Fitzgerald, I don't have elite keeper level players. I'm hoping one of RB's (Maroney, Lynch, Jackson, Norwood) develops into that quality of a player.
  5. I doubt it, but I haven't been to a game there in years. I did get seats, but I'm not sure where they are.
  6. I've yet to get my tickets for Hawaii vs LaTech. I thought I was going to score a free pair, but that fell through. I need to call on my lunch break to make sure some are available.
  7. I may have a chance this week considering Brees stunk it up in Indy. Which of my unproven RB's should I start.....?
  8. While all are compelling, I rather easily gravitated toward choosing Williams. Not only did he miss three consecutive seasons, but those were seasons as he was entering his prime.
  9. Is it wrong to hope for an overdose with the nose candy?
  10. Normally, I don't wish injury on anyone...but I don't think those ethical standards apply to a cheater.
  11. Ok, can someone create me an avatar with Ankiel, Big Mac, and Albert and a needle underneath for Michael to use when I win this?
  12. A suspension may not be fortcoming, not should it be unless they can find evidence of a more recent shipment. On the other hand, I'm hoping this turns into a major distraction. Hopefully, someone will start doing a lot of digging into what "The Natural" has been getting in the mail.
  13. Should I stay home and watch this game or go see what looks to be a pretty good HS football match-up tonight....choices, choices, choices.
  14. Someone needs to instruct Paweleck on how not to be another first round bust.
  15. Somehow, I don't think this is going to blow over easily for Ankiel or the Cardinals. He's going to be asked about it repeatedly, and I don't think the media will let him by with a simple, "no comment." Hopefully this becomes a HUGE distraction for the Cardinals.
  16. If this team fails to make the playoffs, it won't have anything to do with the performance of Ryan Dempster.
  17. Well, it looks like Dempster may have to get the one-run save.
  18. I'd love for DeRosa to rope a double to the gap here.
  19. What's this "new job responsibilities" schtick ??? Did they tell you that you have to..... like.... actually teach your students now ???? Just saw this. Due to school choice at the school in which I've worked in the afternoon, I don't have any students there. So, they added a class to my morning school, and now I spend my afternoons serving as a quasi-assistant to the gifted program manager. My duties will include screening, once I've been properly trained, and assisting with generating reports, maintaining compliance, and other duties.
  20. Wow....I'm going to love that site even more now.
  21. Plus he's already played against competition equivalent to AA. :)
  22. In light of some of my new job responsibilities, I'm going to have a heck of time keeping up/watching this game. I'll still discover a way though.
  23. In the extremely unlikely event we get ARod, we'll have to ditch one of DeRosa or Theriot. Maybe not...Arod to short, Theriot to second, DeRosa to rightfield.
