    then he shouldn't be promoted. If you're going to burn an option on him, at least see what he's made of I think his minor league numbers have shown what he's made of. His 40 IP in AAA while nice are too small a sample to disregard his lackluster performance at every other level. If he's used out of the pen, the 3-4 innings he's likely to throw while Wood gets his finger healed isn't likely to sink us. On the other hand, giving him a start in throwing away a game. If we needed to push Harden back and Samardjza was our best option, fine. But Marshall is an immensely greater option that Shark.
