  1. XM won't be carrying the WGN feed today because it's a road game for us. They will carry the Giants feed. I'm not sure of the channel. I hear Pat & ROn on channel 189 on Xm.
  2. I wouldn't suprise me to see Bowden trade Vidro instead of Soriano.
  3. Anyone with 2 extras tickets for either July 27-30 St. Louis series or July 18 - 20th Astros series let me know. :)
  4. Both Murton and Walker were far more selective than Cedeno when choosing what pitches to swing at. Cedeno's take/swing ratio was 0.98, compared to 1.11 for Murton and 1.16 for Walker. Cedeno really wasn't any more effective with his swings, either. Walker made more contact than Cedeno -- Walker made contact in 89.8% of his swings compared to 88.4% for Ronny -- while Murton hit with far more power than either of them, though his contact ratio was lower. Patience-wise Ronny's numbers were far more like Neifi's than anyone else on the team, though Cedeno's were a tad better. I'm waiting to actually see if Dusty starts Nefi more often than Cedeno. Can you imagine Nefi in the 2 hole????
  5. I think Dusty will go with Pierre Walker Lee Ramirez Jones Murton Barrett Cedeno
  6. Awesome pics!
  7. Yea im sure the O's are even happier now to hear he wants to be traded to a rival.
  8. Vidro's knees are shot and it doesn't help when you decide against surgery.
  9. I wonder what the price tag for Dellucci right now?
  10. Someone please Sticky this thread.
  11. Walker should be kept. But its always the fear if Cedeno have a 0-10 streak Baker will give Nefi the SS for the full year.
  12. Aw, c'mon Mush--Fez is a total zero, and Nolasco and Pinto only look good because they pitched well while REPEATING AA. That's a big leap to get from AA success to useful major leaguer, as their failure in AAA in 2004 attests. None of these guys are anything other than marginal prospects. So, good trade! When the situation is dire, you need to overpay, OK, but what's done is done. We finally have a leadoff man. You are right--if Pierre performs in 2006 as he did in either 2001, 2003, or 2004, Cub fans are going to be very VERY happy. I didnt say it was a bad trade but it leaves the situation for Hendry what to do with Patterson. Mitre is probably nothing more than a fifth starter but with the injuries last few years he would come in handy. Now to find a Rightfielder Williams probably with be shipped leaving our depth down to a minimum.
  13. Seems like a high price but Hendry was determined to find a leadoff hitter. We all can hope Pierre returns to his .370 OBP years. Next target is to find a rightfielder. It seems tougher now most of the prospects Hendry wanted to deal are going to Florida. Perhaps a Patterson + Williams deal for Wilkerson can get done.
  14. What a shock that Jay Mariotti rips the Cubs.
  15. Lugo price will be too high. Go after Pierre, stick with Cedeno at SS, and trade for a RF (Cliff Flyod).
  16. Do this trade only if we can replace Patterson first. 1. Bradley 2. Pierre
  17. This leaves the question what to do with Patterson???
  18. I also do get the sense that Hendry feels Juan Pierre can rebound from his not-so-good OBP in 2005. My sense is that he'd want Dusty to bat Furcal first and Pierre 2nd if he got both of them. Furcal Pierre Lee Ramirez Above average right fielder? Murton Barrett Cedeno I'd be happy with that lineup. That lineup definetly lacks some power....... we would definetly need a 30+ homer type player in right. Could we get Jose Guillen for right? Perhaps the Yankees get stupid and let Matsui walk.
