I agree that playing patterson there and seeing how he does-with a trading deadline deal in the background-is a good idea- remember 2 years ago CPatt was setting the league on fire. Also-I am a believer that TWALK at 2nd, batting 2nd is a really good move-he's gonna hit high average and knows the game well to move our lead off hitter around the bases.

Of signing Nomar for next year and playing him in the outfield? He hits for average and some power-great arm, enthusiastic about cubs. Brewers did it with Yount and he won a second MVP. Also, this way Cedeno gets in at short.
