  1. Corey is a CF not a corner outfielder. What you should really do is compare his stats to Pierre's. That will really make you want to cry.
  2. We are gonna get killed this weekend. And what's worse, nothing will come of it. We'll still have Baker chewing toothpicks in the dugout and Hendry gulping down hot dogs in the seats.
  3. Speaking of going yard, when was the last time the Cubs hit a homerun? It seems like it's been a while. Gotta love that small ball...
  4. Womack is just a good catcher of the ball. He's a gamer. He's got speed. We should keep him.
  5. That's pretty much gotta kill the optimism.
  6. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Nice bunt you loser.
  7. Great. We've got Neifi up with the game on the line and two outs. This is over.
  8. Double for walker. Barrett is going deep here.
  9. hes actually worse i think Corey has been good for 5 more runs of offense than Pierre so far this year (per VORP). And Corey has less than 2/3 the plate appearances. And players don't stretch singles into doubles on Corey. Pierre sucks. Pie!!! Pie!!! Pie!!!
  10. Trade Bynum immediately. His value will never be higher than right now.
  11. Slappy hit into a DP with runners on the corners.
  12. That could be really useful. It would be funny to give it to kids and see their reaction. Can you count Pierre as a kid?
  13. What's worse than the terrible singing is the horribly awkward conversation with the person who sang during the bottom of the 7th.
  14. People who sing take me out to the ballgame should be given a mandatory class on the words to the song.
  15. We'll trade him for Jeff Conine. We kept him all this time, kept him as "untouchable" he'll be in CF next year thank god. heck, the way Pierre is going Pie will be our CF in a couple of weeks.
  16. Slappy kills the rally. He's such a great ballplayer.
  17. When was the last time the Cubs came back from a 5 run deficit? If only Fred was here. I wish the Cubs would show some balls and make a comeback. Everytime they get down early it seems they just go into a shell and give up. This lineup certainly isn't going to help, though. Too many rally killers in this lineup to comeback from 5 down.
  18. I'm fine with Wood's outing today (though I wish it had gone another inning or so). He looked very good aside from the homers of course. But if the offense doesn't improve, Wood won't matter. Not trying to be glib, but should we care how he looks or what the results are? Giving up 3 HRs in 5 innings isn't good, even if he struck out 15 batters. That's always been the problem with KW No...no it hasn't. And yes, considering the amount of time he's been gone, this is like opening day for him. As I recall, Z wasn't too sharp on opening day, and he's doing fine now. KW's problem has been walks. So the occasional homer or hit scored runs. 2 of the 3 homers were solo. Considering everything, I'm not concerned about Kerry. I'm concerned about the lineup. With the loss of velocity, I'm concerned. Isn't velocity the last thing to come back after shoulder surgery?
  19. So basically the only way we win games and score runs is if the other team gives us a lot of unearned ones. Otherwise we're screwed.
  20. Definitely could have been better than what Theriot just did. He looked awful at the plate.
  21. He's done already? 71 pitches? okay...
  22. Good inning for Woody. What's his pitch count up to?
