    Sounds like he might be out 6-8 weeks. He's saying he's going to keep playing, but I don't see how that's going to happen.

    I love Ron Santo. The fact that he went off during a commercial break today is awesome. It's about time someone started yelling because of this crappy team.

    It's a guarantee that we'll win 2 out of 3 this weekend just to get our hopes up a little bit, but we'll end up getting swept by the Rockies.

    I watched every minute of the suckage today. It's like watching a high school team play. I actually don't understand how they can play so terribly. I don't expect to watch a major league team make the crappy mistakes day in and day out like this stupid team does. I'm just hoping they give up on the rest of the season and keep losing so we can get the #1 pick next year. We need to restock the minors after Hendry's pretty much cleaned them out.

    Yea the fact that Lilly gave up 5 early runs definatly should be overlooked. The offense had chances, and didnt but they still came back. Overcoming a 5 run deficit is not an easy thing to do, and we better get used to it because what we have seen the last 2 nights out of Lilly and Marquis are the real Lilly and Marquis. Its going to be brutal watching them pitch in 95 degree heat, with the wind blowing straight out. Doh. Forgot about Lilly craptacular performance. Yeah, it should be fun watching the real Lilly and Marquis pitch the rest of the year. :puke:

    I think you pretty much answered your own question there at the end. I highly doubt that Hendry gets fired with the sale coming after the year. Basically, we're screwed.

    This loss is definitely on the offense. How many times can a team not score with runners in scoring position, especially with no outs? :wall:

    It has been over since they went on that six game losing streak. It was over when Hendry decided that Izturis could be a starting SS, Jones could be a starting RF, and we could get by with Jason Marquis as a starter. We were doomed from the start of the season. The season isn't over. You really think this is a good team? I could understand if we started the season off slow, but it's June now and this team hasn't shown any signs of being a good team.

    Hendry isn't going to rebuild Nope. He's going to trade away what's left in the crappy farm system to bring in another reliever and Ken Griffey Jr., and we'll finish the year in 2nd place in the division with a .500 record. The farm system will be shot for years to come, but it'll be worth it.
