  1. Rich with a nice changeup there. Looked good.
  2. That was a ball Richard. Come on Soriano. We need you here.
  3. Come on. We need you here Aram. Come through for us.
  4. He thinks he's Barry Bonds at the plate.
  5. And he gets out of it!!! Awesome. Come on offense. Score some runs.
  6. Pop up on the infield. 1 more out please.
  7. This kid sounds like he has some issues.
  8. I predict a Jones slam if Aram walks here.
  9. No fight. We can't afford to have Aram suspended.
  10. Stop Aramis. We can't have that. You can't be suspended.
  11. what's with all the walks lately?
  12. Looks like that throw hit Soriano in the hand. Nice slide Soriano.
  13. Looks like Lou said something like "can go F himself" when telling Larry to go out and talk to Hill.
  14. Not surprised Colvin is struggling in AA. The AA pitchers are taking advantage of the fact that he doesn't know how to take a walk. He's going to have to learn to be more patient or he's not going to go very far.
  15. Ugh. Tuesday can't get here fast enough. We need Lee back.
  16. Unfortunately, I'm still getting a national blackout on MLB.TV. Isn't it anything before 5 or 6pm ET is blacked out because of Fox?
  17. Cedeno has been pushed faster than almost any prospect the Cubs have had in recent years. He was in AA at the ripe age of 21 and AAA and the majors at 22-23. His "bunch of time"(600 ab's or so, basically 1 full ML season) was under a jackass of a manager who applauded free swinging, and not walking. It would be really foolish to form a definite opinion on Cedeno based on 600 ab's in the ML's at the age of 23. Cedeno wasn't just a "light-hitting" SS, though. He was a "light-hitting" SS, with great potential defensively and the projectability to hit 15 HRs a season. He was very raw and young for his league every year in the minors. I think his potential started to show in AA. He credited a lot to Sosa helping him when he was in Tennessee on a rehab assignment. 2nd half of the year in AA he was very good and that carried to AAA the next year. So, it wasn't a case of him just hitting journeymen AAA pitchers. He was solid in AA at 21. Exactly. EJ said Cedeno was a "light hitting SS until a couple years ago"...A couple years ago puts Cedeno at age 20 or 21, pretty hard to classify a kid that young playing above his age appropriate level. Yes, he was playing above his age-appropriate level, but he put up OPS of under .600 3 years in a row before AA. He had a good year in AA, and has been good ever since, but he struggles to take a walk and for some reason has had problems with errors even though he obviously has talent with the glove. I'm not saying he can't be a great SS in the future. I'm just not that excited about having him up on the Big Club this year. I'd rather he just get called up in September.
  18. They need at least one more bat. A RF, CF, or SS with some pop would be great.
