  1. ARAM!!! 1-0!!! Good start. Keep it going DeRo.
  2. Aram is swinging at absolute garbage lately.
  3. I think you might need to sleep it off. Go take a 10-hour nap.
  4. I was there for that game. It was part of the double header the Cubs had with the Marlins because of the hurricane. I had awesome seats 2 rows from the field right next to the Cubs dugout. The Cubs split the DH, but it was a great day. Nomar signed my girlfriends' hat (she's obsessed with Nomar) and Alou tossed me a ball. Kensing got rocked that day. Maybe he should worry more about pitching better and less about the fans. I'm confused. I was at the hurricane-induced Cubs-Marlins doubleheader in Miami as well -- in fact i lived about a half-hour up the Florida turnpike from Dolphin stadium in those days. That was the day where David F. Weathers beat us in the second game as a starter, and then the Cubs went on their fateful trip to NY and a date with Victor Diaz. But in the quote he refers to Wrigley. They played a double header at Wrigley as well. The whole series was wiped out and they played one of the games they were supposed to play in Florida at Wrigley instead, so they had 4 games in 3 days in Sept. 2004.

  6. Crap. Looks like mine were supposed to be delivered today, but no one was home to sign for them. Guess I'll be making a trip up to Skokie tonight to pick them up. :wall:
  7. Murton Season: .281/.354/.425/.779 August: .318/.375/.545/.920 Sept: .333/.409/.538/.948 Monroe Season: .222/.306/.386/.644 August: .237/.286/.289/.575 Sept: .207/.281/.379/.661 Yep, makes perfect sense that Monroe should get the start today. Lou's "gotta get those vets in the important games" crap is driving me nuts.
  8. Got mine on Sunday. Did the PDF thang. helpful.
  9. I was tempted to go that route in order to have the stubs, but I didn't want to risk any freak scenarios like a fed ex truck crash costing me my tickets, so i went with email. Yeah, I'm hoping no such scenario happens in my case. My dad is going to want the ticket stubs, so I went with the Fedex route.
  10. Ya I just heard about that. We all know how Lou is obsessed with stats Too bad he doesn't have the same obsession with rookie's stats that are better than their veteran counterparts.
  11. Playoff tickets should be coming from Fedex today, right? Anyone get theirs yet?
  12. Sounds like the man needs new friends. Actually, sounds like he needs to take his friends' advice. Either way, he better pitch like crap today.
  13. this is what happens when you post drunk.
  14. I can't believe Steve Trachsel is getting a start in an important game. Lou's lost his mind.
  15. BREWERS LOSE!!!! Still 2 games up!!!!
  16. http://www.jsonline.com/graphics/sports/brew/img/aug04/ned825.jpg YOSTED!!!
  17. not sure if you are aware, but that's considered bad mojo around here. Why? just curious. My college team used to do it all the time when we had a lead late. Its fairly common in baseball. Do you not remember 2003?
  18. Brewerfan.net is melting down just like we did an hour again.
