  1. I'm pretty sure Lowe has pitched a shutout in every game he's ever pitched against the Cubs. We have no chance in this one.
  2. What the hell has gotten into Randy Wells. He wasn't that highly regarded in the minors. Now he's pitching like he's Pedro Martinez or something. I guess it is the Braves.
  3. Yes, good that one of the better hitters on the team is hurt so an inferior hitter against righties can play. Bradley is good? Have I missed the first 60 games of this season or something? I'd rather have Hoffpauir, Fox out there 60 games isn't the full season. He's had an OPS over .900 each of the last 3 seasons. It's close to a full season for Milton Bradley.
  4. I guess this means Hoffpauir might finally get some at-bats.
  5. and he comes up lame. Awesome.
  6. Super quick inning for Wells. The Braves looked like the Cubs there.
  7. Guess the day off helped Soriano. :)
  8. You gonna share or you gonna keep it to yourself ?? He basically knew nothing about Waddell. He didnt ask questions in a "i know this but for the listeners at home" manner. He really seemed to know nothing about him. Almost as hilarious as Ronny trying to pronounce Kawakami.
  9. You knew he was going to turn into a decent pitcher that we got zilch in return for. Always happens.
  10. So, what should I do with the rest of my night?
  11. This is not going well so far. Dink and dunk and it looks like it might be a long night for us.
  12. It's okay. We're going to light up Milton tonight. Either that, or he shuts us out.
  13. Name AVG HR RBI SB 1. A Soriano, LF .246 12 25 5 2. R Theriot, SS .288 5 22 7 3. M Bradley, RF .223 5 14 0 4. D Lee, 1B .246 5 19 0 5. R Johnson, CF .270 3 12 1 6. G Soto, C .215 1 12 0 7. B Scales, 2B .250 2 6 0 8. M Fontenot, 3B .230 5 20 2 9. S Marshall, P .250 0 2 0
  14. Who is this Patton fellow you people keep talking about? I don't remember ever seeing him pitch.
  15. Yep. That made a lot of sense. I'm guessing he meant lessens the chance of the Cubs winning.
  16. Marmol warming up. Thanks a lot Heilman.
  17. But he grew up a Cubs fan. And he went to Notre Dame!
  18. Heilman in to give up a few runs before finishing the game.
  19. Sale closer to completion than reported: http://www.chicagobusiness.com/cgi-bin/news.pl?id=34216&seenIt=1
  20. He then went on to talk about how you can't hit the ball under the wind. Really interesting stuff.
