    Is the wind blowing in hard tonight? That last ball hit by Happ seemed to have been stopped by the wind. Although it looked like Happ might have been a little under it

    Agreed! Those two pitched really well. No clue what was the reasoning behind staring Boyd today. Horrible decision

    True but that error in the 1st inning by Hoerner cost several runs. Just two of the six runs were earned that inning. Unfortunately that error was very costly

    Surprisingly, Shaw has been the only one besides Busch to put up good at bats today

    This team is such an enigma. They were able to hit, pitch, defend and win a series against a really tough team in the Padres but right now they look like a little league baseball team. Very embarrassing to see. I hope they play better the rest of the series

    I guess Counsell has given up already and is saving bullpen arms. Don’t need to see Shota out there again. He is getting hammered out there

    I’m guessing you are one of those radical liberals that contributes to Chicago being a piece of horsefeathers of a city. Leave Shaw alone. Friendships and faith are more important than a stupid baseball game.

    When is Counsell going to sit down Seiya Suzuki for at least a game? Man, come on, give Owen Cassie a chance to at least DH in a game or two. Suzuki needs to sit for a few games. He’s the worst hitter by far now

    Awful starting lineup for today’s game. What the hell is Happ doing in the 4th spot?

    If they continue like this, might as well miss the playoffs completely, instead of getting there to be humiliated even worse

    What a miserable performance on such an important day! They played exactly as those old Cubs teams that lost these kinds of games all too often

    Should have let Boyd finish that game. He had the right stuff today. It has to feel awful for him. Threw a great game and has nothing to show for it. That should have been his 12th win of the season

    Counsell should have placed Hoerner at 2B and Castro at SS on today’s game. The Cubs are honoring Ryno, so they should have their regular player at 2B

    I’m glad Swanson is not on in the lineup today. He’s been just horrible at the plate, especially with runners in scoring position. Maybe some time off helps him
