  1. Goldy has been terrible against RHP. They need an everyday 1B. Goldy is unplayable against RHP though evidently did better the last few games.
  2. Put me in the minority but I give the Cubbies a B if make no moves. With Taillon and Assad soon to be back, I am ok with rolling the dice with the current roster. None of the starters are anything close to Scherzer-type guys that will put the team on their back. I am a big ERA guy and Assad has a career 3.40 ERA, That is solid. His career ERA better than any of these guys. They might get an A if can get Joe Ryan without giving up Caissie or Wiggins. Tucker is gone next year so cannot get rid of Caissie. Paying tucker $50 million a year in his late 30's will be needed to match what LA will pay him so any trade involving Caissie gets a C at best for me. Our minor league is short on arms so no way Wiggins can be dealt.
  3. Goldy: .394/.474/.667/1.140 versus lefties. Busch: .190/.261/.317/.578 versus lefties I love Busch who has excellent overall stats. In the late innings though you must bring in a lefty to face him if he comes up with men on base. It would be so nice to have Goldy on the bench to punish that move. Cubs definitely need another bat versus lefties. Yankees don't seem to need him since he can no longer hit righties. His OPS against righties is .624. These guy have crazy splits and the best platoon I could ever imagine.
